*Part 172*

*CORRESPONDENCE WITH KINGS AND PRINCES continues*

*3. THE MESSAGE TO CHOSROES, THE EMPIRE OF PERSIA*

The Prophet (Blessings and Peace of Allāh be upon him) chose 'Abdullāh Ibn Huzāfah As-Sahmy to convey this message.

The Prophet (Blessings and Peace of Allāh be upon him) said in it: "In the name of Allāh, the All-Gracious, the All-Merciful. This message is from Muhammad, and Messenger of Allāh, to Chosroes, the king of Persia. May peace be upon one who follows the right path, believes in Allāh and His Prophet and testifies that there is no god but Allāh and that Muhammad is Allāh's Messenger servant and Messenger. I invite you to Islam in my capacity as the Prophet (Blessings and Peace of Allāh be upon him) sent to all people so as to warn whoever is alive and justify the word against the disbelievers. If you embrace Islam, you will rescue yourself from disgrace in this world and punishment in the Hereafter. If you reject my invitation, you will be held accountable for the sins of your Magian subjects." 'Abdullāh gave the message to the ruler of Bahrain. When the message was read before Chosroes, he tore the manuscript and said arrogantly: "A base person of my subjects writes his name before mine." The Prophet (Blessings and Peace of Allāh be upon him) was told about that and said: "May Allāh destroy his dominion." Then Chosroes sent Bazān, his governor over Yemen to dispatch two strong men and bring the Prophet (Blessings and Peace of Allāh be upon him). He chose two of his top associates, Banuih who was a prominent scribe and Khirk Khosru who was a Persian. They conveyed a message to the Prophet (Blessings and Peace of Allāh be upon him) that he should come with them to meet Chosroes. When they reached Madīnah and met the Prophet, one of them said threateningly: "Our great king, Chosroes, sent a message to king Bazān to send those who could bring you. And he sent me to accompany me." The Prophet (Blessings and Peace of Allāh be upon him) ordered them to meet him the following day. In the meantime, the Prophet (Blessings and Peace of Allāh be upon him) knew through divine revelation that a devastating revolution erupted against Chosroes when his army was conquered by the forces of Caesar. This led Shirwih to assassinate his father the king and accede to the throne. This happened on Tuesday, the tenth of Jumada al-Ūlā, 7 A.H. When he met the two messengers of Chosroes, he told them about the matter. They said: "Do you mean what you say? We blamed you for what was pettier than that. Could we send a message and tell the king about what you say?" The Prophet (Blessings and Peace of Allāh be upon him) said: "Yes, tell him about that and say to him: "My religion and authority will reach as far as the dominion of Chosroes and predominate. Say to him: "If you become a Muslim, I will make you assume power and rule your people." Then they returned to Bazān and conveyed the Prophet's message. After a short while, the assassination of Chosroes was announced. Shirwih, the sons of Chosroes, said in a message he sent to Bazān: "Don't cause harm to the man about whom my father sent a message to you till I give you my final decree." This led Bazān and his Persian associates who were in Yemen to embrace Islam.

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 22nd day of Jumaadal Uula 1447AH, Thursday, 13th November, 2025.  *_HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN_*. BismilLah.  When we help our brothers and sisters in Islam, in reality, we are helping ourselves. The Messenger of ALLAH (S.A.W) said: He who relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, ALLAH Azzawajallah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Judgment. He who makes easy what is difficult, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will make it easy for him in the world and the hereafter. He who conceals the faults of a Muslim, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will conceal his faults in this ALLAH Azzawajallah world and the Hereafter, for ALLAH helps the servant as long as he helps his brother. Source: Ṣaḥīḥ "Muslim 2699. AlhamdulilLah.  With this I hope with immediate effect we will all strive to help each other in any possible way such as making dua for each other, supporting our relatives and those in need in ou...

BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD

*BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD* It is best to delay this prayer to the last third portion of the night. Abu Hurairah reports that the Messenger of Allah said: "Our Lord descends to the lowest heaven during the last third of the night, inquiring: 'Who will call on Me so that I may respond to him? Who is asking something of Me so I may give it to him? Who is asking for My forgiveness so I may forgive him?"' This is related by the group. 'Amr ibn Abasah reports that he heard the Prophet say: "The closest that a slave comes to his Lord is during the middle of the latter portion of the night. If you can be among those who remember Allah, the Exalted One, at that time then do so." This is related by al-Hakim who grades it sahih according to Muslim's standards, and at-Tirmizhi calls it hasan sahih. AnNasa'i and Ibn Khuzaimah also recorded it. Abu Muslim asked Abu Zharr: "Which late-night prayer is the best?" He said: "I asked the Messenger of A...
