INSULT AND INSULTING OTHERS

*INSULT AND INSULTING OTHERS*

Abusing a believer is like throwing oneself into destruction and making fun of a believer is a serious sin.. Yes.. To make fun of a believer’s actions, traits or habits in a manner that people find it funny and laugh. Whether it is done verbally or by actions.

InshaaAllah....This article is prepared to serve as a  reminder to u & i,, and for us to have a deep REFLECTION on the lessons in the hadith below:

👉 Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Do you know who is bankrupt?” They said, “The one without money or goods is bankrupt.” The Prophet said, “Verily, the bankrupt of my nation are those who come on the Day of Resurrection with prayers, fasting, and charity,, *but also with INSULTS, slander, consuming wealth, shedding blood, and beating others* . The oppressed will each be given from his good deeds. If his good deeds run out before justice is fulfilled, then their sins will be cast upon him and he will be thrown into the Hellfire.”

 *INSULTING PEOPLE:*

A Muslim utters a mere word upon his or her tongue thoughtlessly, without any consideration, and without thinking that he or she will be taken to task for it.. Yes... It's Indeed something about which,, many people are heedless or don't care about.

▪️The prohibitions of the tongue are that you do not lie,, abuse,, use foul language,, backbite,, and do not slander... Yes.. This is bcos the tongue is protected by the teeth and then the lips  which should act as a padlock 🔐 when indulging in loose talk.

Oh you who believe❗

Some of us choose to *dash-away* their rewards of good deeds to others.. Yes.. Anyone we INSULT *(children or adult)* ,, it is our rewards of good deeds we are burning.. And this is why we should have more control over our speech

👉Abu Hurairah (RA) narrates: “The Prophet said that :~ "Whoever wronged his brother with regard to his honor or any other matter,, should seek his forgiveness today before there are no longer any dinars,, or dirhams; and if he has any righteous deeds,, they will be taken from him,, in accordance with the wrong he did; and if he has no hasanaat (good deeds),, some of the sayyi`aat (bad deeds) of his counterpart will be taken and added to his burden.”
📚[Bukhari]

 *THE CO-WIVES*

What is common amongst co-wives today is discussing the other co-wive secretly,, insulting and ridiculing her  all in the name of jealousy.

👉 Allah (swt) say:

O you who have believed,, let not a people ridicule [another] people,; perhaps they may be better than them in the side of Allah; nor let women ridicule [other] women; perhaps they may be better than them in the side of Allah.. And do not insult one another and do not call each other by [offensive] nicknames......." 📚Al-Hujuraat (49:11)

Furthermore......

Muslims are not permitted to insult even someone who is not a muslim. Yes..  Allah (swt) say in surah Al-An'aam (6:108)

And do not insult those who invoke things other than Allah, except they insult Allah in enmity without knowledge......"

 *F I N A L L Y:*

The sin of abusing a believer is more serious than Ghiība (backbiting). Yes.. This is so because,, abuse is more hurtful than Ghiība (backbiting).. Ghiība is done behind a person’s back but abuse in his/her presence or even in the person's absence.

So........

Even if someone abuses us,, that still does not give us the right to abuse them.. Yes.. Bcos two wrongs don't make a right,, and we will be rewarded for our patience.

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 22nd day of Jumaadal Uula 1447AH, Thursday, 13th November, 2025.  *_HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN_*. BismilLah.  When we help our brothers and sisters in Islam, in reality, we are helping ourselves. The Messenger of ALLAH (S.A.W) said: He who relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, ALLAH Azzawajallah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Judgment. He who makes easy what is difficult, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will make it easy for him in the world and the hereafter. He who conceals the faults of a Muslim, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will conceal his faults in this ALLAH Azzawajallah world and the Hereafter, for ALLAH helps the servant as long as he helps his brother. AlhamdulilLah.  With this I hope with immediate effect we will all strive to help each other in any possible way such as making dua for each other, supporting our relatives and those in need in ou...

BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD

*BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD* It is best to delay this prayer to the last third portion of the night. Abu Hurairah reports that the Messenger of Allah said: "Our Lord descends to the lowest heaven during the last third of the night, inquiring: 'Who will call on Me so that I may respond to him? Who is asking something of Me so I may give it to him? Who is asking for My forgiveness so I may forgive him?"' This is related by the group. 'Amr ibn Abasah reports that he heard the Prophet say: "The closest that a slave comes to his Lord is during the middle of the latter portion of the night. If you can be among those who remember Allah, the Exalted One, at that time then do so." This is related by al-Hakim who grades it sahih according to Muslim's standards, and at-Tirmizhi calls it hasan sahih. AnNasa'i and Ibn Khuzaimah also recorded it. Abu Muslim asked Abu Zharr: "Which late-night prayer is the best?" He said: "I asked the Messenger of A...
