*Dealing with mental health after trauma, depression or anxiety*: *An Islamic approach*

By Dr Sidra Jahangir

*Mental firmness and steadiness*

over decision is required. Keeping in view Islamic as well personal and social level, your decision meets all aspect in good way and in Islam. It is to do things in Ahsan meaning beautiful manner.. That's what you have Done.. Give yourself thumbs up and a pat on back for getting yourself out of ambiguous two boats and landing in one.. There was life and routing things that you use to do, when you were spending time with that person.. For today onward.. Your prime focus will be only and only your self.. And related relations..

*Set a routine*

Now for working ladies and students, its easy to follow, but for house wives.. Look you need to understand you are 24/7 on job... You just need to organise things and routine.. Set alarm and wake up at fix time.. Initially you will have to drag yourself out.. Do so.. Within week, before alarm buzz, your body alarm will wake you..

*Fix your eating habits*

Have breakfast, lunch dinner at particular time, make your body used to particulae routine of eating.. This balances the hormonal system in body and many of female gyne issues are solved with it as well..

*Do exercise or simply walk*

No matter how much of office or household chores you do, still you need half an hour or so, just to look and pump your body.. Relax your nerves and mind..soothe your soul.. It releases positive energy from body and your aura will brighten things around you.. *it will serve as, A body Detoxificant* ..!

*Read/Study*

My dear.. Now your aim should be to read Quranic translation.. Understand its meaning.. Take out an hour and read and talk and listen what Allah Pak has to say to you.. You will find your self tension free while talking to Allah g.. Alongwith, read motivational and self grooming books.. There is always improvement margin in each of us.. Further.. If you are student or in job, look for courses that will help you through.. Many are avaible free of cost online and after completing them you get certificate.. For houseladies..simple courses such as cooking baking stitching knitting are also avaible.. *it will serve as, Soul as well mind Detoxificant*..!!

*Hormonal Influence*

Our body is mapped up in such way that hormones are released with each and every of our emotion.. Its basically in our hands, how we release them.. If you do a good deed, a good work, exercise, or any thing that pleases your conscience and you are contended about it.. It will release dopamine and serotonin.. The happy hormones.. Those that uplift you.. foods that also increase them are chocolates, (for additional food items you may get list on net), I won't recommend to eat plenty of them.. But you can munch on one or two.. On daily basis.. And it will keep you calm..

*Take a good Sleep*

You must adjust your sleep pattern.. If day before you use to be up till 1 or 2, then try to cut it down to 11 max, nd have good 08 hours sleep.. Because sleepless confuses mind, and bring in negative energies to mind.. That keep one disturbed and worried.. Push your body for healthy sleep.. Initially it will be tough.. But within days you will me master of your body mind and soul.. No more negative energies will punish your mind..

My dear sister.. Have firm faith on Allah Pak.. Whatever is meant to you, will find its way out of mountains and will reach you.. Have faith on Allah Pak decision.. Meanwhile.. All you can do is to look after yourself.. So do it in finest of manners.. Learn new skills.. Set monthly goals.. When you will start working on yourself.. And your self will become your prime object, you won't be left with any time to cry over things that are not in your control.. And lovely, look after your parents.. Bring smile to their faces.. Believe me, it will make your soul peaceful... You will thank Allah Pak over zillion times for such blessing..You have to start with baby steps.. Met a goal.. Done exercise.. Slept sound n peaceful.. Cooked something.. Done job at good.. Focused on studies.. On each n every point.. Pat yourself.. Appreciate yourself.. Write your goals.. And share it with others as well.. You have started the journey toward inner greatness.. 😇

This sense of achievement on daily basis will divert your mind to more creative and productive things... Look around.. See beautiful views.. See beautiful scenaries..look how beautiful our Allah has made world for us.. And when anything please your mind n soul, just be more thankful to Allah pak.. Who has send us in this temporary world for few years that will end soon..

Don't fall into shaitan trap any moment.. He will try to make u depress, look down upon urself.. Nd will try to scare u about long life and stuff.. Just read Inanillah wa ina ilahi rajoon..whenever u feel down.. Whenever you miss that guy, just pray for that guy and Allah pak will surely elevate your both ranks..

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 22nd day of Jumaadal Uula 1447AH, Thursday, 13th November, 2025.  *_HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN_*. BismilLah.  When we help our brothers and sisters in Islam, in reality, we are helping ourselves. The Messenger of ALLAH (S.A.W) said: He who relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, ALLAH Azzawajallah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Judgment. He who makes easy what is difficult, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will make it easy for him in the world and the hereafter. He who conceals the faults of a Muslim, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will conceal his faults in this ALLAH Azzawajallah world and the Hereafter, for ALLAH helps the servant as long as he helps his brother. Source: Ṣaḥīḥ "Muslim 2699. AlhamdulilLah.  With this I hope with immediate effect we will all strive to help each other in any possible way such as making dua for each other, supporting our relatives and those in need in ou...

BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD

*BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD* It is best to delay this prayer to the last third portion of the night. Abu Hurairah reports that the Messenger of Allah said: "Our Lord descends to the lowest heaven during the last third of the night, inquiring: 'Who will call on Me so that I may respond to him? Who is asking something of Me so I may give it to him? Who is asking for My forgiveness so I may forgive him?"' This is related by the group. 'Amr ibn Abasah reports that he heard the Prophet say: "The closest that a slave comes to his Lord is during the middle of the latter portion of the night. If you can be among those who remember Allah, the Exalted One, at that time then do so." This is related by al-Hakim who grades it sahih according to Muslim's standards, and at-Tirmizhi calls it hasan sahih. AnNasa'i and Ibn Khuzaimah also recorded it. Abu Muslim asked Abu Zharr: "Which late-night prayer is the best?" He said: "I asked the Messenger of A...
