The question asked what should a man do in islam when he married a lady and then divorce her without touching her later?

 The question asked what should a man do in islam when he married a lady and then divorce her without touching her later? 

Alhamdulillah, what is required is he should give her a gift and it is compulsory by majority of scholars. 

He has to give her something to appreciate her and not to make her hurt

Allah says, 

Al-Ahzab 33:49

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ إِذَا نَكَحْتُمُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتِ ثُمَّ طَلَّقْتُمُوهُنَّ مِن قَبْلِ أَن تَمَسُّوهُنَّ فَمَا لَكُمْ عَلَيْهِنَّ مِنْ عِدَّةٍ تَعْتَدُّونَهَاۖ فَمَتِّعُوهُنَّ وَسَرِّحُوهُنَّ سَرَاحًا جَمِيلًا 

O you who have believed, when you marry believing women and then divorce them before you have touched them [i.e., consummated the marriage], then there is not for you any waiting period to count concerning them. So provide for them and give them a gracious release.

This is the ayah which Allah speaks of such occassion. 

So she will not observe any iddah like staying for three months before she can marry. 

And he should give her a gracious gift to make her satisfy and happy that he appreciated her. 

It is obligatory and this is how islam looks at the feelings of a person.
