*DU'Ā : THE MOST POWERFUL WEAPON OF THE BELIEVER*

*DU'Ā : THE MOST POWERFUL WEAPON OF THE BELIEVER*

*DAY 1 (Saturday)*

*WHAT IS DU'Ā?* Du'ā is an Arabic word written here in English letters. Three small letters that make up a word and a subject that is large and breathtaking. This word "du'ā" could be roughly translated to mean supplication or invocation. Although neither word adequately define du'ā. Supplication, which means communicating with a deity, comes closer than invocation which is known to sometimes imply summoning spirits or devils.

In Islamic terminology, du'ā is the act of supplication. It is calling out to Allāh; it is a conversation with Allāh, our Creator, our Lord, the All knowing, and the All powerful. In fact the word is derived from the Arabic root meaning to call out or to summon. Du'ā is uplifting, empowering, liberating and transforming and it is one of the most powerful and effective act of worship a human being can engage in. Du'ā has been called the weapon of the believer. It affirms a person's belief in one God (Allāh) and it shuns all forms of idolatry or polytheism. Du'ā is essentially submission to Allāh and a manifestation of a person's need for Allāh (Sub-haanahu wata'aala)

Prophet Muhammad, may the Mercy and Blessings of Allāh be upon him, said, "A slave becomes nearest to his Lord when he is in prostration. So increase supplication in prostrations." Also, he said, "The supplication of everyone of you will be granted if he does not get impatient and say, 'I supplicated to my Lord but my prayer has not been granted.'"

Du'ā (supplication) is the essence of worship. It is the weapon of the believer. With it we can never fail; without it we can never succeed. It is a whispering conversation with Allāh, the most uplifting, liberating, empowering, and transforming conversation one can ever have. Never miss du'ā. May Allāh answer our positive Du'ās, Ameen.

The following are some authentic Du'ās from the Glorious Qur'an and Ahadīth of our beloved prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) for us to practice every week (i.e they are divided into 7 days of the week). Don't miss these authentic and great Du'ās!

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

One of the question asked is can a Christian enter Jannah today?

One of the question asked is can a Christian enter Jannah today? Alhamdulillah, it is clear from Quran and hadiths that any christian who dies believing Jesus is God or son of God and do not believe in prophet Muhammad Peace be Upon Him will enter hellfire. Allah says, Al-Ma'idah 5:17 They have certainly disbelieved who say that Allāh is Christ, the son of Mary. Say, "Then who could prevent Allāh at all if He had intended to destroy Christ, the son of Mary, or his mother or everyone on the earth?" And to Allāh belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them. He creates what He wills, and Allāh is over all things competent.

PURIFICATION OF THE HEART

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm al-khamis, 20th day of Swafar 1447AH, Thursday, 14th August 2025. *_PURIFICATION OF THE HEART_*. BismilLah.  A sister asked me yesterday how we can purify ourselves to achieve the immense benefits mentioned in our reminder yesterday.  The command to purify our hearts from sins was an essential Islamic teaching ever since the early stages of the revelation in Mecca. This is known as “purification of the soul” (tazkiyyat an-nafs).   ALLAH Azzawajal says: He has succeeded who purifies the soul, and he has failed who corrupts the soul. Surah Ash-Shams 91:9-10. Also, ALLAH Azzawajal says: A day when there will be no benefit in wealth or children, but only in he who comes to ALLAH Azzawajal with a pure heart. Surah Ash-Shu’ara 26:88-89.  We learn from these verses that our success in the Hereafter depends upon the purification of our hearts in this life. We must purify our hearts from spiritual sins such as greed, malice, envy, arrog...
