*Part 144*
*THE BATTLE OF AL-AHZĀB continues*
Quraish marched with an army of four thousand fighters and stopped at Mujtama' Al-Asyāl, Rumah (between Al-Jurf and Zaghābah). Then arrived Ghatafān and their allies of Najd and formed an army of six thousand combatants and camped at Dhanab Naqma beside Uhud. Almighty Allāh says:
Surah Al-Ahzab, Verse 22:
And when the believers saw AlAhzab (the Confederates), they said: "This is what Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad [Blessings and Peace be upon him]) had promised us, and Allah and His Messenger [Muhammad (Blessings and Peace be upon him]) had spoken the truth, and it only added to their faith and to their submissiveness (to Allah).
Hypocrites and weak-minded people feared and their belief shook when they saw the army of polytheists. Almighty Allāh says:
Surah Al-Ahzab, Verse 12:
And when the hypocrites and those in whose hearts is a disease (of doubts) said: "Allah and His Messenger ([Blessings and Peace be upon him]) promised us nothing but delusions!"
On the side of Muslims, the Prophet (Blessings and Peace be upon him) came out commanding an army of three thousand fighters. They made their backs towards the mountain of Sal'a and fortified themselves by it making the trench as a barrier between them and the enemy. They (Muslims) repeated the slogan: "Ha mim, they will not be victorious."
*{To be continued In-sha-Allāh (If Allāh Wills)...}*
*"And keep reminding, because reminding benefits the believers."* (Qur-ān 51:55)
