*THE BATTLE OF UHUD continues*
*THE EXPEDITION OF NAJD*
Through the bloodless victory Muslim scored in the expedition of Banu An-Nadir they consolidated their control in Madīnah. Hypocrites also feared to reveal their plots against Muslims. Then the Prophet (Blessings and Peace be upon him) got down to curbing the nomads who attacked Muslims after Uhud, assaulted the expeditions of preachers cold-bloodedly and wanted to invade Madīnah. Before disciplining these brutal Bedouins, the Prophet (Blessings and Peace be upon him) learned that Banu Muharīb and Banu Tha'alaba of Ghatafān mobilised their nomad troops to fight the Prophet (Blessings and Peace be upon him). The Prophet (Blessings and Peace be upon him) proceeded through the wilderness of Najd and struck terror into the hearts of such cruel nomads so that they would not repeat their crimes against Muslims. As a result, whenever the nomads who took to robbery and plunder heard of the Muslims passage, they became frightened and hid in the mountains. Thus Muslims terrified these marauding tribes and returned to Madīnah safely.
THE EXPEDITION OF DHĀTUR-RIQĀ
Scholars maintain that this expedition occurred in the late 5th year of Hijra. It was witnessed by Abu Huraira and Abu Mūsā Al-Ash'ary. It took place following the battle of Khaibar in Najd and the Prophet performed the fear prayer during it. Through it the Prophet aimed to subdue the mischievous Bedouins before confronting Quraish in Badr for the second time as Abu Sufyān threatened him.
