*The Happiest Woman in the World*
*(A Treasure Chest of Reminders)*
*Part 7 of 14*
*DOING RIGHTEOUS DEEDS REJOICES THE HEARTS*
'Ā'ishah (may Allāh be pleased with her) said:
"A poor woman came to me with her two daughters, and I gave each of them a date. She put a date. She put a date to her mouth to eat it, and her daughters asked her for more, so she split the date that she was going to eat and gave them half each. I was impressed by what she did, and I told the Messenger of Allāh about it. He said: 'Allāh has granted her Paradise because of this, or freed her from the fire.'"
Umm Salamah asked the Messenger of Allāh (Blessings and Peace be upon him) about her spending on her sons. She said: "Will I have a reward with regard to the sons of Abu Salamah, if I spend on them, when I am not going to neglect them anyway because they are my children?"
She affirmed that would not neglect them, before the Prophet (Blessings and Peace be upon him) answered in the positive. Her natural inclination answered her before he did.
Islam encourages righteous deeds, kindness towards relatives and upholding the ties of kinship. It instills compassion and love in society so that the children may grow up righteous.
"Be happy - ...here is true happiness."
*{To be continued In-sha-Allāh (If Allāh Wills)...}*
*"And keep reminding, because reminding benefits the believers."* (Qur-ān 51:55)
