AS SALAAMU ALAYKUM WARAHMATULLAH WABARAKAATUHU. LET'S START TONIGHT'S EDUCATION. OUR TOPIC IS πŸ‘‡.                                                                                *COMMENTARY AND TAFSIR OF THE VERSES OF THE GLORIOUS QURAN (Episode 117)*

▪ _The word wa-la-nabluwan-na-kum [وَΩ„َΩ†َΨ¨ْΩ„ُوَΩ†َّΩƒُΩ…] is comprised of five words: wa, la, nabluwan, na and kum._
The word nabluwa [Ω†َΨ¨ْΩ„ُوَ] means “try, prove or test by good or evil”. The word wal-ju-i [وَΨ§Ω„ْΨ¬ُوعِ] means hunger. The word naqs[Ω†َΩ‚ْΨ΅] means decrease.
▪_The word asbathum [Ψ£َΨ΅َΨ§Ψ¨َΨͺْΩ‡ُΩ…] means striking the target.......If we contemplate on the meaning of this word, we realize the affliction that strikes one is not an error, it was meant to reach one._While being a neutral word in Arabic, it is  largely used in a negative context such as death or an accident is called museeba.
___*PAGE 2*___.
✍️..

_*This tells us about our belief in fate.*_
▪ The word salawat [Ψ΅َΩ„َوَΨͺ] is the plural of Salah and it means to supplicate._*If the salawat is from Allah ο·» then it means His mercy [Rahmah].*
▪ Allah ο·» tells us that He is going to test us with fear, hunger, loss of wealth, loss of lives and fruits.
▪ *Sometimes the test is by giving bounties and sometimes by depriving one of some bounties and afflicting with a calamity.*
_Mankind will experience a little of each calamity meaning some of his wealth will be destroyed, some of his friends, relatives and loved ones will die and his gardens and farms will not produce the usual or expected amounts.
___*PAGE 3*___.

_While there will be afflictions, Allah ο·» reminds us to be patient._
*He says, “…give glad tidings to As-Sabireen (the patient).”*
Who are they?. They are those who when afflicted with a calamity say:
*Ψ₯ِΩ†َّΨ§ Ω„ِΩ„َّΩ‡ِ وَΨ₯ِΩ†َّΩ€Ψ’ Ψ₯ِΩ„َيْΩ‡ِ Ψ±َΨ¬ِΨΉΩˆΩ†َ*
*“Truly, to Allah we belong and truly, to Him we shall return.”*
_They also know that nothing and no deed, even if it was the weight of an atom, will be lost with Allah ο·» on the Day of Resurrection._
_These facts thus compel them to admit that they are Allah’s servants and that their return will be to Him in the Hereafter.

▪ _People who have such an attitude, on them are the blessings from their Lord, and they receive His praise and mercy and are saved from torment_
*Allah ο·» says, “…and it is they who are the guided ones.”*
▪ _‘Umar bin Al-Khattab RA commented:_
_What righteous things, and what great heights. The two righteous things are Allah’s Salawaat and mercy. And, the great heights means more rewards that these people will be awarded in the afterlife._

*Let's continue on this verse*πŸ‘‡.                           *[2:159] Al-Baqarah-Ψ§Ω„ْΨ¨َΩ‚َΨ±َΨ©*

Surely, those who conceal the manifest signs and guidance sent down by Us after We have revealed them clearly for the people in (Our) Book, it is they whom Allah curses (i.e., deprives them of His mercy) and whom also curse all those who curse.

_The biggest failure of the Jews was that they kept the teachings contained in the Book of God confined to a limited class of people, the rabbis and professional theologians, instead of spreading them. _They did not allow this knowledge to filter through even to the Jewish masses let alone the non-Jewish peoples of the world. _Later, when errors and corruptions spread among them owing to widespread ignorance the Jewish theologians made no serious effort to root them out.

Moreover, in order to maintain their hold on the Jewish masses they lent their tacit approval to every corrupting deviation from the true faith that gained currency.
___*PAGE 7*___.

▪ Abu Al-‘Aliyah said that this ayaat was revealed about the People of the Scripture who hid the description of Muhammad ο·Ί
▪ Certainly, just as everything asks for forgiveness for the scholar, even the fish in the sea and the bird in the air, then those who hide knowledge are cursed by Allah ο·» and by the cursers
▪ Abu Huraira R.A. narrated that Allah’s Messenger ο·Ίsaid: _*“Whoever was asked about knowledge that one has, but he hid it, then a bridle made of fire will be tied around his mouth on the Day of Resurrection.”*_
▪ _It is recorded by Al-Bukhari that Abu Huraira R.A. said,_*“If it was not for an ayah (2:159) in Allah’s Book, I would not have narrated ahadeeth for anyone.”*_.
____*PAGE 8*____.

*The Duty of spreading the Islamic Knowledge*
πŸ”Ή. It is forbidden to conceal knowledge which must be disclosed and disseminated widely.
_*The Prophet ο·Ί said, “Anyone who is asked about something (of religion) which he knows would, in the event that he conceals it, be brought forth by Allah on the Judgment Day harnessed with a rein of fire.” [Narrated by Abu Huraira and ‘Amr ibn al-‘As and reported by Ibn Majah – Qurtubi]*_
▪ _This warning applies to a person who is the only one available in a given situation. If there are other knowledgeable people present, he has the option of suggesting that the issue may be discussed with an ‘alim who knows.
__*PAGE 9*__.
✍️...

πŸ”Ή. One who himself does not possess the sound knowledge of religious injunctions and rulings should not try to explain them.
πŸ”Ή. Answers to religious questions which are intricate and beyond the comprehension level of common people should not be offered before them lest they fall a prey to some misunderstanding. _This will not be considered as ‘concealment of knowledge’ since what is not allowed is the concealment of "clear guidance" given in the Qur’an and Sunnah._
▪ It was for such questions that ‘Abdullah ibn Mas’oud R.A. said,
_*“If you recite ahadeeth which people do not understand fully, you will be throwing them into a nest of discord.”*_
____*PAGE 10*____.
✍️...

▪ Similarly ‘Ali R.A. said, _*“Disclose to the common people only that much of knowledge as they have the capacity to understand. Do you want them to deny Allah and His Messenger?”*_
_For, anything beyond their comprehension would breed doubts in their minds and the possibility is there that they may refuse to accept it_
▫️ (we see this trend so commonly in hadith rejectors)
▫️ In order to teach religion to others we must first be knowledgeable ourselves. We cannot risk anyone’s aakhirah and our Own aakhirah by passing on wrong information.
▫️ We should be extra cautious about our sources of knowledge.

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 22nd day of Jumaadal Uula 1447AH, Thursday, 13th November, 2025.  *_HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN_*. BismilLah.  When we help our brothers and sisters in Islam, in reality, we are helping ourselves. The Messenger of ALLAH (S.A.W) said: He who relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, ALLAH Azzawajallah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Judgment. He who makes easy what is difficult, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will make it easy for him in the world and the hereafter. He who conceals the faults of a Muslim, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will conceal his faults in this ALLAH Azzawajallah world and the Hereafter, for ALLAH helps the servant as long as he helps his brother. Source: Ṣaḥīḥ "Muslim 2699. AlhamdulilLah.  With this I hope with immediate effect we will all strive to help each other in any possible way such as making dua for each other, supporting our relatives and those in need in ou...

THE MUSLIM WOMAN AND HER OWN SELF

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm athalaatha, 3rd day of Rabeeul Awwal 1447AH, Tuesday, 26th August 2025. *_THE MUSLIM WOMAN AND HER OWN SELF_*. BismilLah.  Islam encourages Muslims in general to stand out among people, readily distinguishable by their dress, appearance and behaviour, so that they will be a good example, worthy of the great message that they bring to humanity. According to the hadith narrated by the great Sahabi Ibn al-Hanzaliyyah, the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam ) told his Companions, when they were travelling to meet some brothers in faith: "You are going to visit your brothers, so repair your saddles and make sure that you are dressed well, so that you will stand out among people like an adornment, for ALLAH (SWT) does not love ugliness." Reported by Imam Abu Dawud, 4/83, in Kitab al-libas, bab ma ja'a fi isbal al-izar. The Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) considered an unkempt and careless appearance, and scruffy clothes and furnishings, to be...
