OUR TOPIC IS 👇.                                                                                *COMMENTARY AND TAFSIR OF THE VERSES OF THE GLORIOUS QURAN (Episode 108)*

12 Safar 1447 AH

▪ Allah ﷻ created us Muslim without any labels. We should get rid of the labels that we have adopted by following a particular school, a particular group or a scholar. Do not be divided into sects. Personal desires, individual opinions or baseless conjectures have no place in religion. Religion is not ours to modify. We are to accept what we have been given and look at the lives of the prophets‘alayhi salaam how they submitted to the commands of Allah ﷻ
*This ayah carries a stern warning for the Muslim Ummah against imitating the ways and methods of the people of other religions.*.

*Let's continue on this verse*👇🏻.                           Al-Baqara : 143

*And thus we have made you a just community that you will be witnesses over the people and the Messenger will be a witness over you. And We did not make the qiblah which you used to face except that We might make evident who would follow the Messenger from who would turn back on his heels. And indeed, it is difficult except for those whom Allah has guided. And never would Allah have caused you to lose your faith. Indeed Allah is, to the people, Kind and Merciful*
__*PAGE 3*__.

_Allah ﷻ tells us that He changed our Qiblah to the Qiblah of Ibraheem ‘alayhi salaam so that He makes us the best nation ever
_Hence, we will be the witnesses over the nations on the Day of Resurrection, for all of them will then agree concerning our virtue._
▪ The word  *Wasat* in the ayah means  *‘the best and the most honored’*.
▪ It also means *‘middle’* such as the ‘Asr prayer is called Salat Al-Wusta (or the middle prayer).
▪ _Imam Ahmad reported that Abu Sa’eed radhiAllahu ‘anhu narrated: Allah’s Messenger ﷺ  said: "Nuh will be called on the Day of Resurrection and will be asked, ‘Have you conveyed (the Message).
____*PAGE 4*____.

He will say, ‘Yes.’

His people will be summoned and asked, ‘Has Nuh conveyed (the Message) to you?’
They will say, ‘No warner came to us and no one (Prophet) was sent to us'. Nuh will be asked, ‘Who testifies for you?’ He will say, ‘Muhammad ﷺ and his Ummah'. *This is why Allah ﷻ said: “‘Thus We have made you a Wasat nation.’”*
▪ The Prophet ﷺ  said: *The Wasat means ‘Adl [just]. You will be summoned to testify that Nuh has conveyed (his Message), and I will attest to your testimony*.

Then Allah ﷻ says

*“…And We made the Qiblah which you used to face, only to test those who followed the Messenger from those who would turn on their heels…”*
Allah ﷻ legislated the facing of Bayt Al-Maqdis at first and then changed it to the Ka’abah so as to find who will follow and obey Muhammad ﷺ and face whatever he faced
and who *“…turn on their heels…”* meaning revert from Prophet’s religion.
▪ This ayat points to the fact that the Muslims (i.e. the new chosen nation) *will be the source of guidance for all other mankind*.
__*PAGE 6*__.
✍️...

▪ After Muhammad ﷺ  was sent as the Last Messenger, the Prophethood came to an end._No new prophet will come after him; therefore, it is the responsibility of the Muslim Ummah to rise and warn others.
_It is the legacy of the prophets that we have to carry forward.
_*Why were we chosen as the best nation?*_
It was because when the Children of Israel – the previous chosen nation – failed to honor their responsibility and indulged in unnecessary activities the title was snatched from them.
__*PAGE 7*__.

*And what we are doing to the tag????*
▪ Today, we are busy in raising our families and chasing the worldly charms.
▪ The profiteers are busy alluring the general public by building fancier malls and monuments.
▪  The countries are competing in building skyscrapers and high-rise buildings.
▪ Many people are suffering either due to atrocities or due to being lost.
*And we have turned a blind eye to our one main responsibility?*
_Then, what do we expect from Allah ﷻ ? Why do we ask Him to be Kind and Generous with us?_
_*With honour comes responsibility....do we fulfil our covenant before complaining?*.

*Let's continue on this verse *👇🏻.

O believers! Become tenaciously firm on justice, bearing witness (merely) for the sake of Allah even if (the witness) is against your own selves or (your) parents or (your) relatives. Whether the person (against whom is the evidence) is rich or poor, Allah is a greater Well-Wisher of them both (than you are). So do not follow the desires of your (ill-commanding) selves lest you swerve from justice. But if (whilst giving evidence) you twist your statement or evade (the truth), then Allah is indeed Well Aware of (all the works) that you are doing. "
___*PAGE 9*___.
✍️...

*Following the instructions that were pointed out through previous verses about the execution of justice upon orphans and wives, here in this verse, the statement is upon a basic principle and a general law. It is about the execution of justice in all aspects and without any exception. It says:* *"O' you who have Faith! be maintainers of justice …."*
*That is, you should accomplish justice so that you might not have the least inclination toward any side*.              *Then, to emphasize the matter, the verse refers to the subject of bearing witness*.
___*PAGE 10*___.
✍️...

It recommends upon affairs concerning the witnesses, in particular, and that you should put aside all circumspections and bear witness rightfully for the sake of Allah, even if it is against you or your parents or your near relatives. It says:* *"… (and) witnesses for Allah's sake, though it be against your own selves or (your) parents or near relatives. *It can be understood from this holy phrase that it is possible for relatives to bear witness for or against each other when they observe the principles of justice.*
*Then, it points to other factors of perversion from the principle of justice. It implies that neither the wealth of the rich nor the emotions arisen from the poverty of the poor should hinder to bear witness rightfully.

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 22nd day of Jumaadal Uula 1447AH, Thursday, 13th November, 2025.  *_HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN_*. BismilLah.  When we help our brothers and sisters in Islam, in reality, we are helping ourselves. The Messenger of ALLAH (S.A.W) said: He who relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, ALLAH Azzawajallah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Judgment. He who makes easy what is difficult, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will make it easy for him in the world and the hereafter. He who conceals the faults of a Muslim, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will conceal his faults in this ALLAH Azzawajallah world and the Hereafter, for ALLAH helps the servant as long as he helps his brother. Source: Ṣaḥīḥ "Muslim 2699. AlhamdulilLah.  With this I hope with immediate effect we will all strive to help each other in any possible way such as making dua for each other, supporting our relatives and those in need in ou...

THE MUSLIM WOMAN AND HER OWN SELF

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm athalaatha, 3rd day of Rabeeul Awwal 1447AH, Tuesday, 26th August 2025. *_THE MUSLIM WOMAN AND HER OWN SELF_*. BismilLah.  Islam encourages Muslims in general to stand out among people, readily distinguishable by their dress, appearance and behaviour, so that they will be a good example, worthy of the great message that they bring to humanity. According to the hadith narrated by the great Sahabi Ibn al-Hanzaliyyah, the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam ) told his Companions, when they were travelling to meet some brothers in faith: "You are going to visit your brothers, so repair your saddles and make sure that you are dressed well, so that you will stand out among people like an adornment, for ALLAH (SWT) does not love ugliness." Reported by Imam Abu Dawud, 4/83, in Kitab al-libas, bab ma ja'a fi isbal al-izar. The Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) considered an unkempt and careless appearance, and scruffy clothes and furnishings, to be...
