Siesta in Jannah

 *Siesta in Jannah*

----------------

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

I listened to one scholar on 📡 satellite, giving a Tafseer of Surah Furqan, verse 24.

أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْجَنَّةِ يَوْمَئِذٍ خَيْرٌ مُّسْتَقَرًّا وَأَحْسَنُ مَقِيلًا

"The companions of Paradise, that Day are [in] a better settlement and better resting place." 📚 Al-Furqaan (25:24)

Now,

After listening to the scholar, the following questions jumped into my mind:

(1) Does the dwellers of Paradise have some rest, siesta or sleep immediately after been admitted into paradise? If yes,for how long? And why?

(2) Does the dwellers of hellfire also observe siesta or rest after been admitted into the hell?

📚 After some research and few consultations, I feel this write-up should go viral to serve as a morale booster, so that we will not only strive to work harder to gaining access into paradise, but pray hard to be admitted into paradise.

My People,

The people of Hell will go down to the lowest levels and continual regret, with all kinds of punishments and torments. Allah (swt) say:

إِنَّهَا سَأءَتْ مُسْتَقَرّاً وَمُقَاماً

"Evil indeed (Hell) is as an abode and as a place to rest in for the wrong doers".📚 Q25:66

But as for the dwellers of Paradise, Allah (swt) say:👇

أَصْحَابُ الْجَنَّةِ يَوْمَيِذٍ خَيْرٌ مُّسْتَقَرًّا وَأَحْسَنُ مَقِيلً

"The dwellers of Paradise will, on that Day, have the best abode, and have the fairest of places for repose".

Sa`id bin Jubayr said: "Allah will finish the Judgement halfway through the Day, and the people of Paradise will take their mid day rest in Paradise and the people of Hell in Hell.

Muslim Faithful,

After the long years of Barzakh life (I mean life in the grave), waking up from the grave and rushing to the judgement ground, working through the Siraat, long time standing on the judgement ground waiting for Allah to pass the judgement, we will be tired.. So, those who will be fortunate to be admitted into paradise will enter the jannah seriously tired and exhausted. They will have a siesta for a period of 70years 😳. Yes according to the sheikh quoted above. After which, proper and endless enjoyment will begin.

👉 Ikrimah said:~ "I know the time when the people of Paradise will enter Paradise and the people of Hell will enter Hell. It is the time which in this world is the time when the late forenoon starts and people go back to their families to take a siesta. The people of Hell will go to Hell, but the people of Paradise will be taken to Paradise and will have their siesta in Paradise, and they will be fed the liver of a whale and they will all eat their fill".

But after the first siesta, there will be no more sleep.  The envy will be removed from the chests of the Mu’mineen before they enter Paradise. They will stop on a Siraat bridge after they have crossed the Siraat. They will retaliate with each other for the complaints they have between themselves. Then, the envy will be removed from their chests. And they will enter Paradise with the highest degree of purity. Evidence: - 📚Surah Al-Hijr (15):47

May Allah (swt) bless us with HIS JANNAH. Ameen Ya Rabb. But we have to work hard for it. We say Amen each time prayer for Jannah is made BUT we feel lazy to wake up at night for Tahajjud, We blame bad economy when it comes to giving charity, we still see light and pleasure in listening to 🎶 music and watching Haram programmes on 📺 television, etc. We must all work hard  Check 📚 Aal-i-Imraan (3:142)

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 22nd day of Jumaadal Uula 1447AH, Thursday, 13th November, 2025.  *_HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN_*. BismilLah.  When we help our brothers and sisters in Islam, in reality, we are helping ourselves. The Messenger of ALLAH (S.A.W) said: He who relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, ALLAH Azzawajallah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Judgment. He who makes easy what is difficult, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will make it easy for him in the world and the hereafter. He who conceals the faults of a Muslim, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will conceal his faults in this ALLAH Azzawajallah world and the Hereafter, for ALLAH helps the servant as long as he helps his brother. Source: Ṣaḥīḥ "Muslim 2699. AlhamdulilLah.  With this I hope with immediate effect we will all strive to help each other in any possible way such as making dua for each other, supporting our relatives and those in need in ou...

THE MUSLIM WOMAN AND HER OWN SELF

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm athalaatha, 3rd day of Rabeeul Awwal 1447AH, Tuesday, 26th August 2025. *_THE MUSLIM WOMAN AND HER OWN SELF_*. BismilLah.  Islam encourages Muslims in general to stand out among people, readily distinguishable by their dress, appearance and behaviour, so that they will be a good example, worthy of the great message that they bring to humanity. According to the hadith narrated by the great Sahabi Ibn al-Hanzaliyyah, the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam ) told his Companions, when they were travelling to meet some brothers in faith: "You are going to visit your brothers, so repair your saddles and make sure that you are dressed well, so that you will stand out among people like an adornment, for ALLAH (SWT) does not love ugliness." Reported by Imam Abu Dawud, 4/83, in Kitab al-libas, bab ma ja'a fi isbal al-izar. The Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) considered an unkempt and careless appearance, and scruffy clothes and furnishings, to be...
