*Every new Shar’iah and every new revealed Book has been abrogating many commands of the earlier Shar’iah and of the earlier Book.*
*Similarly, within the same Shar’iah, too, it has always happened that a certain law was in force for a time, but Divine wisdom chose to abrogate it and to promulgate another in its place.*
▪ There was another objection that the Jews had against the Qur’an.
_They said if the Torah is the Book of Allah, then was there a need for another Book or a new Messenger?
👉 _*Since Muhammad ﷺ was to be the Final Messenger, there was a need to finalize the commands. Hence, by sending the Qur’an Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala has completed and finalized religion.*

*Let's continue on this verse*👇.                          *Al-Baqarah Ayah 22*

*الَّذِى جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الاٌّرْضَ فِرَاشاً وَالسَّمَآءَ بِنَآءً وَأَنزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَآءِ مَآءً فَأَخْرَجَ بِهِ مِنَ الثَّمَرَتِ رِزْقاً لَّكُمْ فَلاَ تَجْعَلُواْ للَّهِ أَندَاداً وَأَنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ*

*“[He] who made for you the earth a bed [spread out] and the sky a ceiling and sent down from the sky, rain and brought forth thereby fruits as provision for you.*
*So do not attribute to Allah equals while you know [that there is nothing similar to Him].”*

_The meaning that is reiterated here is that Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala is the Creator, the Sustainer, the Owner and Provider of this life, all that is in and on it. _Hence, He alone deserves to be worshipped, and no one and nothing is to be associated with Him_
This is why Allah said next,

*فَلاَ تَجْعَلُواْ للَّهِ أَندَاداً وَأَنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ*
*“So do not attribute to Allah equals while you know [that there is nothing similar to Him].”*.                             ▪ This is a call to ponder that encourages us to look at the visible signs and to think about them , so as to increase in faith and certainty about the Creator and believe in His Oneness,

*What we learn from the Signs of Allah’s Creation?*
Man is given the power of reasoning and insight. He is created as the vicegerent on earth never to be forsaken by Allah’s words of guidance. This is so lest man should lose his way, rebel against the will and plan of his Lord, and gradually become puffed up with egotism, self-exaltation and innumerable superstitions pertaining to his own existence and existence taken as a whole.
_*When these exceptional qualities of man are paired with one’s submission to the Creator,  one confidently sets out proving his worth, elevating his status over that of the angels in the process.*_

*وَإِذْ قَالَ إِبْرٰهِۦمُ رَبِّ اجْعَلْ هٰذَا بَلَدًا ءَامِنًا وَارْزُقْ أَهْلَهُۥ مِنَ الثَّمَرٰتِ مَنْ ءَامَنَ مِنْهُم بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْءَاخِرِ ۖ قَالَ وَمَن كَفَرَ فَأُمَتِّعُهُۥ قَلِيلًا ثُمَّ أَضْطَرُّهُۥٓ إِلٰى عَذَابِ النَّارِ ۖ وَبِئْسَ الْمَصِيرُ*

*And [mention] when Abraham said, "My Lord, make this a secure city and provide its people with fruits - whoever of them believes in Allah and the Last Day." [Allah] said. "And whoever disbelieves - I will grant him enjoyment for a little; then I will force him to the punishment of the Fire, and wretched is the destination*

In the present ayah We find Ibrahim A.S. praying for the well-being of his family in this world as much as in the other.
▪. The first thing Ibraheem ‘alayhi salaam prayed for was to make Makkah a peaceful place – safe from slaughter and plundering.
Makkah became a thriving city. Every year millions of Muslims visit the city for pilgrimage. It also became safe and secure, for no infidel has ever been able to conquer it or dominate over it. Even before the advent of Islam, the Arabs in the Age of Ignorance and Shirk deeply respected the Ka’abah and its environs as a matter of their creed.

▪ In spite of being vengeful, they would never take their revenge so long as the enemy remained within the precincts of the Haram.
▪ The inhabitants of Makkah were respected throughout Arabia, and the trading caravans passing to and fro between Makkah and Syria or Yemen were never interrupted.
▪ Allah ﷻ  has given security even to birds and animals inside the Haram, and forbidden all kinds of hunting within this area. So, even birds and animals distinctly show a feeling of security inside the Haram, and are not scared of men.
▪ The Prophet ﷺ said,
*“No one is allowed to carry weapons in Makkah*.

_The Two Saheehs recorded ‘Abdullah bin ‘Abbas radhiAllahu ‘anhu saying that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said,_
_*“Allah has made this city a sanctuary (sacred place) the Day He created the heavens and earth.*
_*Therefore, it is a sanctuary until the Day of Resurrection because Allah made it a sanctuary.*
_*It was not legal for anyone to fight in it before me, and it was legal for me for a few hours of one day.*
_*None is allowed to "uproot its thorny shrubs, or to chase its game, or to pick up something that has fallen, except by a person who announces it publicly, nor should any of its trees be cut.”"*
▪ The city has been made so secure that even the Dajjal [Anti-Christ] shall not have the power to enter it.

*وَإِذْ يَرْفَعُ إِبْرٰهِۦمُ الْقَوَاعِدَ مِنَ الْبَيْتِ وَإِسْمٰعِيلُ رَبَّنَا تَقَبَّلْ مِنَّآ ۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ*

*And [mention] when Abraham was raising the foundations of the House and [with him] Ishmael, [saying], "Our Lord, accept [this] from us. Indeed You are the Hearing, the Knowing*

_Prophet Ibraheem ‘alayhi salaam in obedience to Allah ﷻ left the fertile land of Syria and settled his family in the barren desert. Now, he was taking up the labor of building the House of Allah._
_*This was a moment when a man who had been bearing such hardships in the way of Allah ﷻ could normally be expected to feel satisfied with himself and relax in a mood of self-congratulation.*
▪ But the Friend of Allah recognized the Majesty of Allah.
▪  He knew that no creature can possibly worship or obey his Creator as is His due.

May HE accept our ibaadat and grant us the Good in this World and the Hereafter. May Allah Azza wa jalla forgive and grant us Jannah...AMIN
