*THE STORY OF QĀRUN AND HOW HIS WEALTH DESTROYED HIM.* Alhamdulillah, one of the stories of Qur'an in surah qasas was the story of qaarun whom Allah has granted him wealth among the children of Israel. But he began to boast of his wealth seeing no one has power over it When people comes to him, he will drink them away and they will say be good as Allah has been to you. His reply was that it was his knowledge that gave him the wealth not Allah. He was arrogant but his end was something else. Once Allah s.w.t did all these blessings for him, he revolt against musa a.s who prayed for Allah to destroy him by drowning him. As qaarun was drowning, he was calling for help from the people but no one helped him. When the people see that, Their words was that musa a.s wanted the wealth of qaarun. I quote: Surah Al-Isra, Verse 13: وَكُلَّ إِنسَانٍ أَلْزَمْنَاهُ طَائِرَهُ فِي عُنُقِهِ وَنُخْرِجُ لَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ كِتَابًا يَلْقَاهُ مَنشُورًا And We have fastened every man's deeds to his neck, and on the Day of Resurrection, We shall bring out for him a book which he will find wide open.  ﷽ *Surah Aal-e-Imran, Verse 45:* إِذْ قَالَتِ الْمَلَائِكَةُ يَا مَرْيَمُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُبَشِّرُكِ بِكَلِمَةٍ مِّنْهُ اسْمُهُ الْمَسِيحُ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ وَجِيهًا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ وَمِنَ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ (Remember) when the angels said: "O Maryam (Mary)! ﷽ *First Hadīth Of The Day* حَدَّثَنَا  أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زِيَادُ  بْنُ عِلاَقَةَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الْمُغِيرَةَ بْنَ شُعْبَةَ، يَقُولُ  انْكَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ يَوْمَ مَاتَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ، فَقَالَ النَّاسُ  انْكَسَفَتْ لِمَوْتِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ‏.‏ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله  عليه وسلم ‏"‏ إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ  آيَتَانِ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ، لاَ يَنْكَسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ وَلاَ  لِحَيَاتِهِ، فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمُوهُمَا فَادْعُوا اللَّهَ وَصَلُّوا حَتَّى  يَنْجَلِيَ ‏" ‏‏.‏  Narrated Al-Mughira bin Shu`ba:                        On the day of Ibrahim's death, the sun eclipsed and the people said that the eclipse was due to the  death of Ibrahim (the son of the Prophet). *The Definition and Structure of Hadith* The Definition of Hadeeth: 'Hadeeth' literally means a saying or conversation, as in the following Qur'aanic verses: “Let them then produce a saying (Hadeeth) like unto it.” [Soorah at-Tur (52):34] “And when the Prophet spoke (Hadeeth) secretly to one of his wives.” [Soorah at-Tahrim (66):3] But in Islaamic Terminology, Hadeeth is synonymous with Sunnah, though the word ‘Hadeeth’ is generally used to refer to only the sayings of the Prophet Muhammed . The Hadeeth have been recorded by the Companions and collected in the books of Hadeeth. If the word ‘Hadeeth’ is used without any adjective, it always means the Hadeeth of the Prophet, but if any Companion or Successor (Taabiee) is meant, clarification is needed by adding Mauquf for the Companion and Maqtu for the Successor. *ENMITY OF SHAITĀN* *THE DEVIATION OF WEALTH* Hazrat Imām Muhammad Ghazzali رحمه الله has said that dirhams, dinars and all types of wealth including merchandise and property are used as tools to deviate man.
