Marriage and why do We marry.
Alhamdulillah, the word marriage النكح is sunnah of the prophets as all prophets were given families as they are descendant of one another.
Allah says,
Aal-e-Imran 3:34
Descendants, some of them from others. And Allah is Hearing and Knowing.
There are three things that makes marriage accepted.
The mahr or bride price, the acceptance of wali and the two just witness among Muslims.
It was narrated from Ibn Abbas that:
the Messenger of Allah said: “There is nothing like marriage, for two who love one another.”
Vol. 3, Book 9, Hadith 1847.
Thawban said: “When the Verse concerning silver and gold was revealed, they said: 'What kind of wealth should we acquire?' Umar said: 'I will tell you about that.' So he rode on his camel and caught up with the Prophet, and I followed him. He said: 'O Messenger of Allah what kind of wealth should we acquire?' He said: 'Let one of you acquire a thankful heart, a tongue that remembers Allah and a believing wife who will help him with regard to the Hereafter.' ”
Vol. 3, Book 9, Hadith 1856
The walimah is sunnah and can be done anytime.
Marriage can be done in any month whether Ramadhan but many do not married in that month because they dedicate that month in worship and wants to get closer to Allah.
May Allah bless all marriages and forgives all our deceased families. Aamin
