'Aa’ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to say in his prayer: “Allaahumma inni a’oodhi bika min al-ma’tham wa’l-maghram (O Allaah, I seek refuge with You from sin and heavy debt).” Someone said to him: “How often you seek refuge from heavy debt!” He said: *“When a man gets into debt, he speaks and tells lies, and he makes a promise and breaks it.”* al-Bukhaari (832) and Muslim (589). Remember, two characteristics of Munaafiq (hypocrite) have set in; telling lies and not fulfilling promises.

Debtor would not enter Paradise, even if he was killed in the battle for the sake of Allaah until his debt is paid off. Al-Nasaa’i (4605) narrated that Muhammad ibn Jahsh (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: We were sitting with the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) when he raised his head towards the sky, then he put his palm on his forehead and said: “Subhaan-Allaah! What a strict issue has been revealed to me!” We remained silent and were afraid.

The following morning, I asked him, “O Messenger of Allaah, what is this strict issue that has been revealed?” He said, “By the One in Whose hand is my soul, if a man were killed in the battle for the sake of Allaah, then brought back to life, then killed and brought back to life again, then killed, and he owed a debt, *he would not enter Paradise until his debt was paid off.”* Classed as hasan by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Nasaa’i, 4367.

*Debtor after his death will not rest until his debt is paid off. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) refrained from offering the funeral prayer for one who had died owing two dinars, until Abu Qataadah (may Allaah be pleased with him) promised to pay it off for him. When he saw him the following day and said, I have paid it off, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: *“Now his skin has become cool for him.”* Musnad Ahmad (3/629); classed as hasan by al-Nawawi in al-Khalaasah (2/931) and by Ibn Muflih in al-Adaab al-Shar’iyyah (1/104).

*Debtor has to pay his/her debt if he/she wants to enter Paradise. Thawbaan (may Allaah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: *“Whoever dies free from three things – arrogance, cheating, and debt – will enter Paradise.”* al-Tirmidhi (1572); classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Tirmidhi.
___*PAGE 6*___.                                  ✍️...

*Soul of the debtor is suspended after death; detained and kept from reaching its noble destination until his debt is paid off. It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: *“The soul of the believer is suspended because of his debt until it is paid off.”* Narrated by al-Tirmidhi (1078), Tuhfat al-Ahwadhi (4/164)

* The beginning of debt is worry and end is war. It was narrated that ‘Umar ibn al-Khattaab (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: *Beware of debt, for it starts with worry and it ends with war.* Maalik in al-Muwatta’ (2/770).
* ___*PAGE 7*___.                                 ✍️...

Debt will be taken from good deeds of the debtor on the day of resurrection. In Musannaf ‘Abd al-Razzaaq (3/57) it says: Ibn ‘Umar (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: O Humraan, *fear Allaah and do not die in debt, lest it is taken from your good deeds* when there will be no dinars and no dirhams.

* The scholars have stipulated three conditions for debt to be permissible: The borrower should be determined to repay it; it should be known or thought most likely that he can repay it, and it should be for something permissible according to sharee’ah. al-Tamheed (23/238).
* ___*PAGE 8*___.                                 ✍️...

O Allaah, suffice me with what You have permitted so that that I have no need of that which You have forbidden, and make me independent of means by Your bounty so that I have no need of anyone besides Yourself.                                                       *Dayn is standing block in this world and Hereafter as well. We do remember a story where Sa’ad bun Waqas borrowed something from one of the Sahaba and it nearly tore them apart?. As we already learn in Begging, we pray Allah azza wajalla make it independent and sufficient to refrain from accumulating debt and begging...AIMIN*.

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

 DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN

 DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 22nd day of Jumaadal Uula 1447AH, Thursday, 13th November, 2025.  *_HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN_*. BismilLah.  When we help our brothers and sisters in Islam, in reality, we are helping ourselves. The Messenger of ALLAH (S.A.W) said: He who relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, ALLAH Azzawajallah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Judgment. He who makes easy what is difficult, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will make it easy for him in the world and the hereafter. He who conceals the faults of a Muslim, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will conceal his faults in this ALLAH Azzawajallah world and the Hereafter, for ALLAH helps the servant as long as he helps his brother. Source: Ṣaḥīḥ "Muslim 2699. AlhamdulilLah.  With this I hope with immediate effect we will all strive to help each other in any possible way such as making dua for each other, supporting our relatives and those in need in ou...

BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD

 *BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD* It is best to delay this prayer to the last third portion of the night. Abu Hurairah reports that the Messenger of Allah said: "Our Lord descends to the lowest heaven during the last third of the night, inquiring: 'Who will call on Me so that I may respond to him? Who is asking something of Me so I may give it to him? Who is asking for My forgiveness so I may forgive him?"' This is related by the group. 'Amr ibn Abasah reports that he heard the Prophet say: "The closest that a slave comes to his Lord is during the middle of the latter portion of the night. If you can be among those who remember Allah, the Exalted One, at that time then do so." This is related by al-Hakim who grades it sahih according to Muslim's standards, and at-Tirmizhi calls it hasan sahih. AnNasa'i and Ibn Khuzaimah also recorded it. Abu Muslim asked Abu Zharr: "Which late-night prayer is the best?" He said: "I asked the Messenger of A...
