Habibi don’t be afraid of poverty when it comes to marriage.
“إن يكونوا فقراء يغنهم الله من فضله”
If they are poor, Allah will enrich them from His فضل…
How many people delay marriage, not because they are not ready in faith or character, but because they fear provision? As if رزق is in their hands… as if wealth is guaranteed by waiting.
al-Qurtubi reminded us clearly: do not hold back from marriage due to poverty, whether from the man or the woman. If they are poor, Allah will grant them independence from His bounty.
This is not just advice. It is a promise.
A promise for those who marry seeking Allah’s pleasure…A promise for those trying to protect their hearts from sin…A promise for those who choose halal over fear.
Marriage is not built on money. It is built on sakīnah, on respect when things are hard, on patience when provision is tight, on love that grows through struggle, and on kindness that doesn’t wait for wealth.
Sometimes, what you’re afraid of losing…
is exactly what Allah will replace with something better.
Trust Him ﷻ. ❤️
Ya Allah, for those who are willing but struggling to marry, ease their path, remove their خوف, and open for them doors of halal رزق. Bless them with righteous spouses, fill their homes with sakīnah, and make their marriage a means to Jannah, not a burden upon their hearts. AMEEN.🤲🥹
