 DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum al-ithnayn, 11th day of Shaw'waal, 1447AH. Monday, 30th March, 2026. *_TAFSEER OF SUURAH AL-BALAD (QUR'AN 90)_*. BismilLah. 


Context / Background of the Suurah: This Suurah was revealed in Makkah, revealed during a time when the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam was facing severe opposition, hardship, and persecution in Makkah. ALLAH Azzawajal begins by honoring Makkah, the sacred city. The suurah addresses the struggles of human life, especially the resistance of arrogant people who refuse truth.

It highlights the contrast between:

Those who choose ease, selfishness, and arrogance

And those who take the difficult path of righteousness and sacrifice.


It reminds us that life itself is a test full of struggle, and true success lies in choosing the harder but righteous path. Life was never meant to be easy. But true success is in choosing the hard path that pleases ALLAH Azzawajal.

The “steep path” is: Feeding the hungry, Caring for orphans & the poor, Showing patience and mercy etc. 

ALLAH Azzawajal has given us eyes, a tongue, and guidance, how are we using them? Let’s not choose the easy wrong, but the difficult right. To be continued tomorrow in Shaa ALLAH with the meanings and commentary of each verse. *_May ALLAH Azzawajal make us among the أصحاب اليمين (people of the right)_*. Aameen.

 *BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD* It is best to delay this prayer to the last third portion of the night. Abu Hurairah reports that the Messenger of Allah said: "Our Lord descends to the lowest heaven during the last third of the night, inquiring: 'Who will call on Me so that I may respond to him?
