The verse *2:143* also do talk an incident that will happen on the day of Hereafter, where Prophet/ this ummah will bear witness to the ummah of Propy Nuhu pbuh. This tafsir will be discussed later on this topic later in Sha Allah. Back to our discussion, They were assured that those people's prayers will be accepted since if they were alive they will adhere to this new law. There's also a school of thought that people that died not hearing Islamic Monotheism are also perdoned from disbelief. But In all, Allahu A'alam.

*Let's continue on how these verses were revealed*👇                     [2:219] Al-Baqarah-

They ask you about alcohol (i.e., intoxicants) and gambling. Say: ‘Major sin lies in both of them and also some (worldly) profit for the people, but their sin is greater than their profit.’ And they also ask you about what they should spend. Say: ‘(Spend) whatever is surplus to your needs.’ Thus does Allah make His commandments clear to you so that you may meditate.

O believers! Wine and gambling and idols mounted (for worship) and divining arrows (for seeking luck—all) are filthy works of Satan. So turn away from them (completely) so that you may prosper.

O believers! Do not go near Prayer in a drunken state until you are able to understand what you say. Nor (should you approach Prayer) until you bathe after total ablution becomes obligatory, unless you are travelling. And if you are sick, or on a journey, or return from a call of nature, or make sexual contact with (your) women and then fail to find water, then clean yourselves by using pure soil. So wipe your faces and hands. Surely, Allah is Most Pardoning, Most Forgiving.

Allah azza wa jalla keep amending permissible and impermissible things for mankind till the final Messenger. For instance it was allowed to marry two siblings (females) but later disapproved. When Prophet arrive Madina, the people came to him asking of the ruling on Alcohol. It was at this connection that the first verse was revealed. The verse outlines that in it(alcohol) is of bad effects but few benefit are of/in it. So the people left with the hope that they are not prohibited from it fully. Life went on till one day a complain was lodged to the Holy Prophet that someone has led the prayer while drunk.

It was in this connection too, the third verse was revealed prohibiting us from praying while drunk.  Since once drunken, we tend to forget or remember the remember the verses correctly. We also act abnormally when drunk. After this verse, they still thought it is only prohibiten when going for prayers for which the second verse was revealed fully prohibiting us from them. Islam is a complete code of life and if we are to follow to all the *don'ts* of it, we will be successful. So pls try the next time you try telling someone about alcohol, simply quote them this verse *Quran 5:90* or give them the three verses. Probably they may argue with u the remaining two interpretation.

*Let's continue on how this verse was also revealed*👇.                    [9:79] Al-Tawbah-

The people who accuse (of pretentiousness and compulsion) those of the believers who give alms happily and willingly in (their) charity works, and also (blame) those (destitute Muslims) who find nothing (more to give) except for their toil and hard work, and (also) mock their (sentiment for spending in the cause of Allah), Allah will punish them for their scoffing, and there is for them a grievous punishment.

Volume 6, Book 60, Number 190:

Narrated Abu Musud:

When we were ordered to give alms, we began to work as porters (to earn something we could give in charity). Abu Uqail came with one half of a Sa (special measure for food grains) and another person brought more than he did. So the hypocrites said, "Allah is not in need of the alms of this (i.e. 'Uqail); and this other person did not give alms but for showing off." Then Allah revealed:--

'Those who criticize such of the Believers who give charity voluntarily and those who could not find to give in charity except what is available to them.' (9.79)

When the earlier Muslims were ordered to give alms, they began to work as Porter's in order to generate something to give out. Abu Uqail came with one half of a sa( special measure for food grains) and another brought more than he did. The hypocrites then said, Allah isn't in need of his charity. It was in this connection this verse was revealed. The verse warns them( hypocrites) of an awaiting chastisement for what they do. This also goes to us those who Mock other people who does good less than ours.

We are not to feel our good deeds are of higher status over them, since none sees their records. What one thinks to be huge might not weight on the scale of Allah. For instance in the story of the person that killed countless people who asked for help monk if he will be forgiven. The monk ignorantly replied in the negative, for which he killed him too. Allah, the Merciful and All-knowing forgave the murderer. The story of the sinner who sinned for fourthy years during Prophet Musah pbuh time was even forgiven. We all know of this story when Allah refused their supplication for rain because of him.

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 22nd day of Jumaadal Uula 1447AH, Thursday, 13th November, 2025.  *_HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN_*. BismilLah.  When we help our brothers and sisters in Islam, in reality, we are helping ourselves. The Messenger of ALLAH (S.A.W) said: He who relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, ALLAH Azzawajallah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Judgment. He who makes easy what is difficult, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will make it easy for him in the world and the hereafter. He who conceals the faults of a Muslim, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will conceal his faults in this ALLAH Azzawajallah world and the Hereafter, for ALLAH helps the servant as long as he helps his brother. Source: Ṣaḥīḥ "Muslim 2699. AlhamdulilLah.  With this I hope with immediate effect we will all strive to help each other in any possible way such as making dua for each other, supporting our relatives and those in need in ou...

THE MUSLIM WOMAN AND HER OWN SELF

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm athalaatha, 3rd day of Rabeeul Awwal 1447AH, Tuesday, 26th August 2025. *_THE MUSLIM WOMAN AND HER OWN SELF_*. BismilLah.  Islam encourages Muslims in general to stand out among people, readily distinguishable by their dress, appearance and behaviour, so that they will be a good example, worthy of the great message that they bring to humanity. According to the hadith narrated by the great Sahabi Ibn al-Hanzaliyyah, the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam ) told his Companions, when they were travelling to meet some brothers in faith: "You are going to visit your brothers, so repair your saddles and make sure that you are dressed well, so that you will stand out among people like an adornment, for ALLAH (SWT) does not love ugliness." Reported by Imam Abu Dawud, 4/83, in Kitab al-libas, bab ma ja'a fi isbal al-izar. The Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) considered an unkempt and careless appearance, and scruffy clothes and furnishings, to be...
