He was also as I said who fathered Muawiyah. Muawiyah was wrestling with Ali bun Abi Talib for the Caliphate after the assassination of Uthman bun Affan *rta*. Ali was though chosen as the Caliphate but Muawiyah wanted to be given Syria to rule.  Ali rta was also assassinated in kufa on jum'a prayers by an Kharije(one of Islamic sects). His son Hassan succeeded him but relinquished power to Muawiyah who then unfortunately also chose his son(Yazid) as his successor and the rest was history. After Abu Sufyan begged Prophet for rain, then came the  third verse *(44:15)*. This verse was highlighting that, as an usual attitude of the unbelievers, they will revert to disbelief.

It was after this verse then came the last verse *(44:16)*. From the Hadith, the narrator claimed the day Allah promised in the verse was Battle of Badr. And as I said many Enemies of Islam were killed in that battle including Abu Jahl. Abu Sufyan participated in that battle and the next battle (Uhud) and later accepted Islam. His wife Hind as we all know who was behind the death of Hamzah bun Mutalib in the hands of Wahshi also later reverted to Islam. Wahshi also later accepted Islam and was the heroe in the battle against Musaylama, the false Prophet. Wahshi didn't only participated in the battle but killed Musaylama.

*Let's continue on this verse*👇.                           [25:68] Al-Furqān-

And these are the people who do not worship any other god apart from Allah, nor do they kill the soul whose killing without any lawful cause Allah has forbidden, nor do they commit adultery. And whoever does this will receive the punishment due for the sin.

Volume 6, Book 60, Number 284:

Narrated 'Abdullah:

I or somebody, asked Allah's Apostle "Which is the biggest sin in the Sight of Allah?" He said, "That you set up a rival (in worship) to Allah though He Alone created you." I asked, "What is next?" He said, "Then, that you kill your son, being afraid that he may share your meals with you." I asked, "What is next?" He said, "That you commit illegal sexual intercourse with the wife of your neighbor." Then the following Verse was revealed to confirm the statement of Allah's Apostle:

"Those who invoke not with Allah, any other god, nor kill life as Allah has forbidden except for just cause, nor commit illegal sexual intercourse." (25.68)

A sahaba asked Prophet about the grievous sin in the sight of Allah, for which he said associating partners in worship with Allah.  Prophet then said murder when he was asked the next sin. He said fornication/zinna when asked the third sin. It was then this verse was revealed confirming the statement of Allah's Prophet. The only sin that isn't forgiven after dirth is associating partners with Allah. I am not hereby belittling the other for they are grievous sins. Zinna has become rampant is our modern society, and it is now seen as a lifestyle.

We remember the story of a woman who came to Prophet and confessed to having committed illegal sexual intercourse?. Prophet ordered a hole to be dug for which she was placed in and stoned till she died. However the difficult thing is in accusing someone of zinnna is failure to provide the required witness. That has become a barrier during Prophet's era and our modern era. A Sahaba once accusd his wife of committing zinna, Prophet when the news reached him requested the sahaba provide witness but he failed. It was after a revealation that the sahaba was freed for his accusation was true. *May Allah guide us against Zinna...Amin*.

*Let's continue on how this verse was revealed* 👇.                                       [33:51] Al-Aḥzāb-

(O Prophet! You have a choice) to postpone (the turn of) any (wife) whom you may please from amongst your wives, and keep with you (any of them on priority) whom you may please. And there is no blame on you if you desire her (to be with you) from whom you kept distance (for a while). This makes possible for them cooling their eyes (by seeing you) and they will not remain grieved and they will all feel pleased and delighted for what you have blessed them with. And Allah knows best what is in your hearts and Allah is All-Knowing, Forbearing.

Volume 6, Book 60, Number 312:

Narrated Muadha:
I
'Aisha said, "Allah's Apostle used to take the permission of that wife with whom he was supposed to stay overnight if he wanted to go to one other than her, after this Verse was revealed:--

"You (O Muhammad) can postpone (the turn of) whom you will of them (your wives) and you may receive any (of them) whom you will; and there is no blame on you if you invite one whose turn you have set aside (temporarily). (33.51) I asked Aisha, "What did you use to say (in this case)?" She said, "I used to say to him, "If I could deny you the permission (to go to your other wives) I would not allow your favor to be bestowed on any other person."

We all know Prophet had several wives. There are narrations that they were nine while others claim to be over. Hadratul Juweriya, Mamuna, Ramla, Ayisha, Hatsa, Sauda, Zainab, Khadijjah were the few we can recall. He didn't had more than one wife till Khadijah died. In the Hadith, he was permitted to take the permission of that wife with whom he was supposed to stay overnight with to other wife. He was used to this though Ayisha didn't fancy that idea. Living with many wives can be burdenous if not done according to the ethics of Islam.

Islam wanted good for us(men), that's why he approved poligamy for us. However if ine isn't financially and emotionally sound, going no near to it will be okay. One should treat then with just and equal, but in the matter if Loving them equally, that's is beyond man's control. Since we can't control the heart. We are as I said encouraged to treat them equally. The verse is also applicable to husbands with multiple wives. Permission is granted to stay with other wives provided the wives in question approved of it. For instance, Prophet seeked permission from his other wives to be able to stay in the company of Ayisha during his sickness that led him to the grave.

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 22nd day of Jumaadal Uula 1447AH, Thursday, 13th November, 2025.  *_HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN_*. BismilLah.  When we help our brothers and sisters in Islam, in reality, we are helping ourselves. The Messenger of ALLAH (S.A.W) said: He who relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, ALLAH Azzawajallah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Judgment. He who makes easy what is difficult, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will make it easy for him in the world and the hereafter. He who conceals the faults of a Muslim, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will conceal his faults in this ALLAH Azzawajallah world and the Hereafter, for ALLAH helps the servant as long as he helps his brother. Source: Ṣaḥīḥ "Muslim 2699. AlhamdulilLah.  With this I hope with immediate effect we will all strive to help each other in any possible way such as making dua for each other, supporting our relatives and those in need in ou...

THE MUSLIM WOMAN AND HER OWN SELF

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm athalaatha, 3rd day of Rabeeul Awwal 1447AH, Tuesday, 26th August 2025. *_THE MUSLIM WOMAN AND HER OWN SELF_*. BismilLah.  Islam encourages Muslims in general to stand out among people, readily distinguishable by their dress, appearance and behaviour, so that they will be a good example, worthy of the great message that they bring to humanity. According to the hadith narrated by the great Sahabi Ibn al-Hanzaliyyah, the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam ) told his Companions, when they were travelling to meet some brothers in faith: "You are going to visit your brothers, so repair your saddles and make sure that you are dressed well, so that you will stand out among people like an adornment, for ALLAH (SWT) does not love ugliness." Reported by Imam Abu Dawud, 4/83, in Kitab al-libas, bab ma ja'a fi isbal al-izar. The Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) considered an unkempt and careless appearance, and scruffy clothes and furnishings, to be...
