"اَفَرَءَیۡتَ الَّذِیۡ کَفَرَ بِاٰیٰتِنَا وَ قَالَ لَاُوۡتَیَنَّ  مَالًا  وَّ  وَلَدًا ﴿ؕ۷۷﴾

Have you seen such a person that rejected Our Signs and said: ‘I shall certainly be given wealth and children (the same way, even on the Day of Resurrection)’?

Is he aware of the unseen, or has he taken any promise from the Most Kind (Lord)?

Volume 6, Book 60, Number 257:

Narrated Khabbab:
I was a blacksmith in Mecca Once I made a sword for Al-'Asi bin Wail As-Sahmi. When I went to demand its price, he said, "I will not give it to you till you disbelieve in Muhammad." I said, "I shall not disbelieve in Muhammad till Allah make you die and then bring you to life again." He said, "If Allah should make me die and then resurrect me and I would have wealth and children." So Allah revealed:--
'Have you seen him who disbelieved in Our Signs, and (yet) says I shall certainly be given wealth and children? Has he known the unseen or has he taken a covenant from (Allah) the Beneficent?' (19.77-78)

Khabbab, a Blacksmith in Meccah once made a sword for Al-Asi bin Wail As-Sahmi. But when he went for the money, he was petitioned to disbelief in Prophet Muhammad but he refused that even till he (Al-Asi) will die and bring back to life again, he wouldn't do that. He ignorantly said he will still be having health and children when resurrected. It was then that this verse was revealed. Disbelief is a disease and we should always thank Allah he didn't make us one. How can he think he will still get wealth and children when ressurected? Subhaana llah.

*Let's continue on how this verse was revealed*👇.                                    [11:114] Hūd-

And establish Prayer at the two ends of the day and in some parts of the night. Surely, good actions erase the evil ones. This is an admonition for those who accept admonition.

Volume 6, Book 60, Number 209:

Narrated Ibn Masud:

A man kissed a woman and then came to Allah's Apostle and told him of that, so this Divine Inspiration was revealed to the Prophet 'And offer Prayers perfectly at the two ends of the day, and in some hours of the night; (i.e. (five) compulsory prayers). Verily, the good deeds remove the evil deeds (small sins) That is a reminder for the mindful.' (11.114) The man said, Is this instruction for me only?' The Prophet said, "It is for all those of my followers who encounter a similar situation."

A man happened to kiss a woman and came to Prophet and told him for which this verse was revealed. Since we are all human, we are prone to sin. But the best however among us are those that repent. Also Satan's method of luring us into sin is discouraging us that our good deeds after the sin wouldn't be accepted. Following a good deed after a sin is sign of conquering shaytan. And that can be supported from the verse. Though this is encouraged, abstaining from such sin is highly better. Places that can trigger falling into such sin is to avoided.

Lowering our gaze is encouraged on the part of men. Women are also encouraged to dress decently to deter men from looking at them. This verse does not only talk about following good deed after a sin (kiss), but every other sin. After missing salah, let's try to offer more Nawaafils and that's is also an example. The verse also tells us of offering nawaafil prayers before fajr. With this we are talking about Qiyaamul Layl or Tahajjud. Qiyaamul Layl consist of swalat, tasbih and Quran recitation during midnight while Tahajjud is only swalat during this same hours.

*Let's continue on this verse*👇.                          [14:27] Ibrāhīm-

Allah keeps the believers firm-footed in the life of this world as well as in the Hereafter with (the blessing) of this Firm Word, but Allah holds the wrongdoers astray. And Allah puts into action whatever He wills.

Volume 6, Book 60, Number 221:

Narrated Al-Bara bin Azib:

Allah's Apostle said, "When a Muslim is questioned in his grave, he will testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and that Muhammad is Allah's Apostle, and that is what is meant by Allah's Statement:--

"Allah will keep firm those who believe with a Word that stands firm in this world and in the Hereafter." (14.27)

Death is inevitable for this reason is why we should always prepare for it. Judgement commence after it, for this is why we believe in Questioning in the grave. Disbelievers will be punished in there because they will not able to answer those questions. The questions ranges from Who is ur messenger, What is ur religion and so on. But when one is a Muslim, answering these questions becomes easy with the help of Allah Almighty. And that's what is meant by the verse.

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 22nd day of Jumaadal Uula 1447AH, Thursday, 13th November, 2025.  *_HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN_*. BismilLah.  When we help our brothers and sisters in Islam, in reality, we are helping ourselves. The Messenger of ALLAH (S.A.W) said: He who relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, ALLAH Azzawajallah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Judgment. He who makes easy what is difficult, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will make it easy for him in the world and the hereafter. He who conceals the faults of a Muslim, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will conceal his faults in this ALLAH Azzawajallah world and the Hereafter, for ALLAH helps the servant as long as he helps his brother. Source: Ṣaḥīḥ "Muslim 2699. AlhamdulilLah.  With this I hope with immediate effect we will all strive to help each other in any possible way such as making dua for each other, supporting our relatives and those in need in ou...

THE MUSLIM WOMAN AND HER OWN SELF

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm athalaatha, 3rd day of Rabeeul Awwal 1447AH, Tuesday, 26th August 2025. *_THE MUSLIM WOMAN AND HER OWN SELF_*. BismilLah.  Islam encourages Muslims in general to stand out among people, readily distinguishable by their dress, appearance and behaviour, so that they will be a good example, worthy of the great message that they bring to humanity. According to the hadith narrated by the great Sahabi Ibn al-Hanzaliyyah, the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam ) told his Companions, when they were travelling to meet some brothers in faith: "You are going to visit your brothers, so repair your saddles and make sure that you are dressed well, so that you will stand out among people like an adornment, for ALLAH (SWT) does not love ugliness." Reported by Imam Abu Dawud, 4/83, in Kitab al-libas, bab ma ja'a fi isbal al-izar. The Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) considered an unkempt and careless appearance, and scruffy clothes and furnishings, to be...
