بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

The Prophet, Allah grant him blessings and peace, reportedly instructed us: "Heal your sick with sadaqah” 📚(Abu Dawud and others).

This reminds me,

Sa'd ibn 'Ubadah, a prominent and wealthy companion of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), once became seriously ill. The illness was severe and persistent. His mother was deeply distressed. While at his bedside, she made a vow (a Nadhr). She promised that if Allah cured her son, she would donate a large number of date-filled purses (a significant amount of wealth) specifically to provide water for the pilgrims in Mecca. By the grace of Allah (swt), Sa'd recovered from his illness. Sa'd mother, true to her word, took action. She had a large water cistern (a Saqiyah) built in Mecca and dedicated it to providing free, cool water to the thousands of pilgrims performing Hajj and Umrah, who often suffered from the intense desert heat. When the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) learned of this act of charity, he was immensely pleased. He (pbuh) made a specific supplication for her: "O Allah, grant mercy to the mother of Sa'd." This prayer from the Prophet himself is a testament to the immense value of providing water.

The above story is found in several classical hadith collections, including 📚Sunan an-Nasa'i and Sunan Abi Dawud.

Servants of Allah!

The act of giving water was the means through which Sa'd mother sought healing for her son, and it was the charity she offered in gratitude upon his recovery. The "cure" here was two-fold: the physical healing of Sa'd and the spiritual blessing earned through the ongoing charity.

My People,

Let's say "Economy is Bad" and one person alone can not afford to pay for digging a well or sinking a borehole for people FISSABILILLAH, at least, 3, 4, 5 or even 10 persons can put resources together to fund a water project for a community in desperate need of water, fissabilillah.

And,

If funding a bigger water project is not pocket-friendly to you, you can go to your place of work, office or shop, send someone to help you buy half bag of Nigeria sachet water or 3 bottles of drinking water, take some of it to drink yourself and give the rest to people around you. Wallahi if we really know about the quantum of benefits in doing this, we will choose to starve ourselves just to making sure that we make doing this a habit in our lives. Yes. One of these benefits is gaining cured from all kinds of illnesses, worries or difficulties.

Muslim Faithful,

Every drop matters. Whether you give a bag of Nigeria satchet or water small bottle of drinking water to someone or groups. This is an essential act and is as important as swalah itself. Yes. Let’s just look at why this act shines among other forms of charity:

*Firstly,* it’s an essential gift, as water is the most basic need for life.

*Secondly,* it has an instant impact. Relief comes with the first sip.

*Thirdly,* it benefits everyone. Every person – child, elder, animals and even jinns.

To be continued...

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 22nd day of Jumaadal Uula 1447AH, Thursday, 13th November, 2025.  *_HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN_*. BismilLah.  When we help our brothers and sisters in Islam, in reality, we are helping ourselves. The Messenger of ALLAH (S.A.W) said: He who relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, ALLAH Azzawajallah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Judgment. He who makes easy what is difficult, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will make it easy for him in the world and the hereafter. He who conceals the faults of a Muslim, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will conceal his faults in this ALLAH Azzawajallah world and the Hereafter, for ALLAH helps the servant as long as he helps his brother. Source: Ṣaḥīḥ "Muslim 2699. AlhamdulilLah.  With this I hope with immediate effect we will all strive to help each other in any possible way such as making dua for each other, supporting our relatives and those in need in ou...

THE MUSLIM WOMAN AND HER OWN SELF

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm athalaatha, 3rd day of Rabeeul Awwal 1447AH, Tuesday, 26th August 2025. *_THE MUSLIM WOMAN AND HER OWN SELF_*. BismilLah.  Islam encourages Muslims in general to stand out among people, readily distinguishable by their dress, appearance and behaviour, so that they will be a good example, worthy of the great message that they bring to humanity. According to the hadith narrated by the great Sahabi Ibn al-Hanzaliyyah, the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam ) told his Companions, when they were travelling to meet some brothers in faith: "You are going to visit your brothers, so repair your saddles and make sure that you are dressed well, so that you will stand out among people like an adornment, for ALLAH (SWT) does not love ugliness." Reported by Imam Abu Dawud, 4/83, in Kitab al-libas, bab ma ja'a fi isbal al-izar. The Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) considered an unkempt and careless appearance, and scruffy clothes and furnishings, to be...
