*One Best Deed*
[[-- Episode 1 --]]------------------
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
Water is a blessing from Allah (swt) that we often take for granted. Yes. Only people who are seriously thirsty and have no access to drinking water can tell how it feels.
Sure!
Not all of us can afford building wells or boreholes for entire communities – but how many of us take it as a point of duty to buy a bottle of water or a bag of sachet water, give it out to people as sadaqag?
The rewards of giving water are multiplied even further when it's given to someone who desperately needs it. In fact, the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) was asked, "Which charity is best?" He replied, "[Providing] water"'. 📚[Abu Dawud]
Muslim Faithful,
Little things we ignore can actually skyrocket our chances of entering paradise with ease. Imagine yourself buying a bag of sachet water or bottle water (at least twice or once in a week), drop it in your place of work, office or shop and tell people to come and take it anytime they need water.
My People!
One of Allah’s name is ‘The Multiplier of Rewards’. He rewards even a small good deed with an abundant recompense in both worlds.
This reminds me,
Imam Ahmad ibn Miskeen told the story of Abu Nasr, a fisherman who was so poor that he could not even feed his family. One day when the fisherman passed by the Imam, the Imam asked him to follow him to the sea. There, the Imam pronounced the name of Allah the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, and ordered Abu Nasr to cast his fishing net. Out came a big fish. Abu Nasr sold the fish and bought some bread for his wife and child. While heading home, Abu Nasr passed by a woman and her little child crying from hunger; the hungry little boy set his eyes on Abu Nasr's bread. He could not help but hand the bread he had bought for his family. Once again, he was going home to his hungry family penniless. Before reaching house, Abu Nasr heard a man calling his name; that stranger handed him a small parcel and said, “Your father had lent me some money years ago before he passed away. I did not have the means to return it. As soon as I could afford it, I came looking all over for you until I finally found you. Here you are, this your money, my son.” The poor fisherman opened the parcel, and to his surprise, it contained 30,000 Dirham (pieces of silver)
Abu Nasr quickly rushed back to search for the poor woman he helped and gave her more money to start up a business. Abu Nasr distributed more than half of the money he received as sadaqah.
He slept (after that) and dreamed that Allah (swt) was measuring his good deeds on the day of judgment. All his good deeds (including the wealth inherited which he distributed as sadaqah) but his bad deeds have outweighed all his good deeds. He became helpless until when Allah (swt) said "you still have one deeds (a bread you gave to the hungry little boy)". Abu Nasr told himself that, "bigger things did not help me, how would a small bread helped"! But to his suprise, when Allah (swt) placed the rewards of that bread on the scale of his good deeds, it immediately outweighed his bad deeds. Allahu Akbar! Kabeeran!!!
