Something happened few years ago between an Imam of the masjid who was called by a brother to come to his house, to help talk to his wife on certain issues which resulted to unsettled misunderstanding between them.

The Imam honoured the invitation and went to the house. With the help of Allah (swt), he was able to talk sense into the head of the wife and she accepted her faults, forgave the husband and promised to be a good wife.

Fortunately and unfortunately, there was some money belonging to the couples on the rug carpet where the Imam was sitting.. So, the couples went inside to get the Imam some drinks.. Few seconds after, the rainy season cloud gathered and started with heavy wind breeze. The breeze started moving the money on the rug carpet. So, to arrest that situation, the Imam picked all the money and put it inside the Quran on the book shelve behind him.

When the couples came out of the bedroom, they were overtaken by another discussions which made the Imam to forget telling the couples about the money and where he kept it. The Imam left the house.

The couples later noticed that the money on the rug carpet was not found. They felt heavy to call the Imam to ask him about the missing money. And instead, jumped into conclusion that the Imam have stolen their money😃.

The brother stopped going to pray in the masjid where this Imam is leading prayer. The Imam was surprised that for 2 weeks, he could not set his eyes on this brother. He asked someone close to the brother to see whether he traveled or was sick. The Imam was told that the brother was okay. Until one month later, when the Imam met him somewhere. The Imam asked the brother why he suddenly disappeared from praying in his masjid. The brother refused to disclose what happened.

The brother went round to tell people that the innocent Imam is a thief. This could not get to the Imam's hear until 10months after he visited them. On hearing this, the Imam picked 3 other people from the masjid to the brother's house. The Imam presented the allegations and the brother said yes, it's not allegations but truth.

The Imam looked at the same book shelve and instructed the brother to pick the Quran and open it.. Guess what!!!... The brother open the Quran and found the money inside.

All the masjid members who followed the Imam said Subhannallah 3X.. They said *"So! You have not open Quran for almost a year now?"*.. The brother was ashamed and begged for forgiveness.

Servants of Allah!

Most of us have divorced reciting the glorious Quran since we left last year Ramadan. Yes. And this is why we may find it difficult to invest much time to reading Quran when the month of Ramadan finally set in (even with our sincere intentions to do).

My people!

Preparation for the month of Ramadan include increasing efforts and time to start reading Quran before the blessed month finally set in.

In fact,

There is a lot we can learn from the Sahabahs. Yes. One such thing is how they prepared for Ramadan. The Sahabahs (R.a.a) used to prepare for Ramadan six months in advance😳. Yes. They would make dua to Allah to allow them to reach the month of Ramadan, while increasing there acts of worship like giving of charity, recitation of the Quran, etc etc... Then for the next six months after Ramadan they would ask Allah to accept their fasts and efforts during Ramadan. What a beautiful way to approach this holy month. Instead of viewing it as a one month endeavour, they would spend all year preparing for Ramadan. If we started to incorporate their mindset for Ramadan, imagine how impactful this month would be? Instead of thinking of all that we need to sacrifice for this month, we would mostly be focused on something different and not the benefits that this month offers.
