*Fasting is Knocking*
[[---- Episode 16 ----]]--------------------------------
بسم الله الرحمان الرحيم
Abu Hurairah (r.a.) narrated that the Prophet (pbuh) said: *"whoever fasts in the month of Ramadan out of sincere faith, and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven.”* 📚[Sahih Al-Bukhari 1901, Book 30, Hadith 11]
Now,
Continuation of the previous episodes - as promised - *How do you prepare your body & soul for this task?*
*Number 7:* Prepare For Your Menstruation Days
Ladies, don’t despair. Yes. Days of menses are there not for us to feel sad nor to stop all our good deeds. Yes. Instead, we can increase worship, because there are only a few prohibitions during the month of Ramadan, such as fasting, praying and holding the Quran without hand gloves. Aside from that, we can still do zikr (words of remembrance) countless times, give charity and help to prepare sahur (breakfast) and iftar (breaking the fast).
*Number 8:* Repenting
We sin, we repent and then we sin again. Allah’s mercy is something many of us take for granted, but when one has an opportunity to think about things, one becomes more and more cognizant of the fact that we don’t deserve this mercy as sinful beings. The fact that the doors of benevolence are open for us till the last breath tells you a lot about how much Allah (swt) cares for us.
Now,
We all are living busy lives, hence the opportunities to take some time and self-evaluate are scarce.
People patronize devil's agents who claim to have the knowledge of unseen. People keep or use charms for seeking protection or favor, etc... All these qualify the victims of these evil acts and the likes, throwing their membership card as Muslims into Dustin voluntarily.
But,
Ramadan is one such opportunity that you should definitely grab to seek for sincere repentance.. And the process of self-evaluation & repentance has to start before Ramadan, and it has to start now!
*Number 9*- Mingle with fellow Muslims especially the righteous ones:
Do you sometimes feel that no matter how hard you try to gain eman, a moment comes when all of your efforts go in vain and you feel like on the same low level of eman? If such a thing happens with you a lot, then maybe you should check your company of friends. Allah Almighty has described clearly in the Holy Quran about the criteria for having friends". 📚(Check Q18:28)
Many times it is observed that a person makes a lot of effort all day or maybe all week to gather a lot of eman, but it takes 1 meeting with some friend whose company makes all this effort go in vain. This is the reason Allah Almighty told us to keep company with those people who remind us of Allah and our true purpose in life.
*Share this very write-up to remind others*
