The importance of showing mercy to one another.
Alhamdulillah, Allah is merciful to us by giving us air, water, food and health even those they are among mankind who insults Allah and denies him yet he provides for them.
As reported in hadith,
Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah said:
"Allah, the Mighty and Sublinm, says: 'The son of Adam denied Me and he had no right to do so and the son of Adam reviled Me and he had no right to do so. As for his denying Me, It is his saying that I will not resurrect him as I created him in the beginning, but resurrecting him is not more difficult for Me than creating him in the first place. And as for his reviling Me, it is his saying that Allah has taken a son, but I am Allah, the One, the Self-Sufficient Master, I beget not nor was I begotten, and there is none co-equal or comparable unto Me."'
Sunan an-Nasa'i 2078.
So the son of Adam insults Allah by claiming he has a son while he does not deserve to say so.
But out his mercy Allah gives us everything.
Again,
Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
Allah created a hundred mercies, and He placed one mercy among his creation, they show mercy to one another byit, and there are ninety-nine mercies with Allah.”.
The prophet PBUH said,
Show mercy to those one earth and those in heaven will show mercy to you.
(Tirmidhee).
As reported again,
Abu Huraira reported that al-Aqra' b. Habis saw Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) kissing Hasan. He said:
I have ten children, but I have never kissed any one of them, whereupon Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: He who does not show mercy (towards his children), no mercy would be shown to him.
Sahih Muslim 2318.
Jarir ibn Abdullah R.A said,
" That the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: He who shows no mercy to the people, Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, does not show mercy to him.""
Sahih Muslim 2319.
As we show mercy to others, same will Allah show mercy to us.
