The importance of dua as muslims

The importance of dua as muslims

Alhamdulillah, Dua is very important and a strong weapon of a believer

The messenger of Allah salla Allahu alayhi wasalam used to make dua alot in every matter he finds himself and when in distress.

As Allah says,

Ghafir 40:60

And your Lord says, "Call upon Me; I will respond to you." Indeed, those who disdain My worship will enter Hell [rendered] contemptible.

Making dua' after solaah is obligatory according to the correct consensus of the scholars.

After the solaah, it is obligatory to say,

Astaghfiru Allah three times and then saying,

Allahumma Antas salaam wa minka salaam tabaraska muka dhal jaleel wa ikraam.

As reported in hadith,

Aishah narrated:

When Allah's Messenger said the Salam he would not remain seated except long enough to say: (Allahumma antas-salam wa minkas-salam, tabarakta dhal jalali wal-Ikram) 'O Allah! You are the One free of defects, and perfection is from You. Blessed are You, Possessor of Majesty and Honor.'"

Jami` at-Tirmidhi 298.

Thawban, the freed slave of Allah's Messenger, narrated that ::

Allah's Messenger said: "When Allah's Messenger wanted to turn from his Salat, he would seek forgiveness from Allah three times, then say: (Allahumma Antas-Salam, wa minkas-salam, tabarakta ya dhal-jalali wal-Ikram) 'O Allah You are the One free of defects and perfection is from You. Blessed are You, O Possesor of Majesty and Honor.'"

Jami` at-Tirmidhi 300.

Then we have dua to seek help from Allah reciting Al Qunut in the prayer or in sujud against the one who oppressed us.

As the prophet salla Allahu alayhi wasalam used to curse people who oppressed him for one month.

As reported in hadith,

Narrated Anas bin Malik:

The Prophet (ﷺ) recited Qunut for one month (in the Fajr prayer) asking Allah to punish the tribes of Raland Dhakwan.

Sahih al-Bukhari 1003.

Narrated Anas:

When the reciters of Qur'an were martyred, Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) recited Qunut for one month and I neversaw him (i.e. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)) so sad as he was on that day.

Sahih al-Bukhari 1300.

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

One of the question asked is can a Christian enter Jannah today?

One of the question asked is can a Christian enter Jannah today? Alhamdulillah, it is clear from Quran and hadiths that any christian who dies believing Jesus is God or son of God and do not believe in prophet Muhammad Peace be Upon Him will enter hellfire. Allah says, Al-Ma'idah 5:17 They have certainly disbelieved who say that Allāh is Christ, the son of Mary. Say, "Then who could prevent Allāh at all if He had intended to destroy Christ, the son of Mary, or his mother or everyone on the earth?" And to Allāh belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them. He creates what He wills, and Allāh is over all things competent.

PURIFICATION OF THE HEART

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm al-khamis, 20th day of Swafar 1447AH, Thursday, 14th August 2025. *_PURIFICATION OF THE HEART_*. BismilLah.  A sister asked me yesterday how we can purify ourselves to achieve the immense benefits mentioned in our reminder yesterday.  The command to purify our hearts from sins was an essential Islamic teaching ever since the early stages of the revelation in Mecca. This is known as “purification of the soul” (tazkiyyat an-nafs).   ALLAH Azzawajal says: He has succeeded who purifies the soul, and he has failed who corrupts the soul. Surah Ash-Shams 91:9-10. Also, ALLAH Azzawajal says: A day when there will be no benefit in wealth or children, but only in he who comes to ALLAH Azzawajal with a pure heart. Surah Ash-Shu’ara 26:88-89.  We learn from these verses that our success in the Hereafter depends upon the purification of our hearts in this life. We must purify our hearts from spiritual sins such as greed, malice, envy, arrog...
