Man and hasteness.
Alhamdulillah, Man wants hasteness is everything.
As Allah says in Quran,
Al-Isra' 17:11
And man supplicates for evil [when angry] as he supplicates for good, and man is ever hasty.[1]
This ayah was revealed when the messenger of Allah salla Allahu alayhi wasalam came to the people of Makkah with his message of tawheed and to amend and change to good peoples but they call for the punishment of Allah to come soon upon them.
Allah says,
Yunus 10:11
And if Allāh was to hasten for the people the evil [they invoke][1] as He hastens for them the good, their term would have been ended for them.[2] But We leave the ones who do not expect the meeting with Us, in their transgression, wandering blindly.
As reported in hadith,
Abu Musa al-Ash’ari (RAA) narrated, “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to supplicate, “O Allah, forgive me my faults, my ignorance, my immoderation in my concern. And you are better aware (of my affairs) than myself. O Allah, grant me forgiveness (of the faults which I committed) seriously or otherwise (and which I committed) inadvertently and deliberately. All these (failings) are in me. O Allah, grant me forgiveness from the faults, which I did in haste or deferred, which I committed in privacyor in public and you are better aware (of them) than myself. You are the First and the Last and over all things you are Omnipotent.” Agreed Upon.
Haste is a character of man and we need to be careful and examine things before taking actions.
As reported in hadith,
Sahl bin Sa’d (RAA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“Haste comes from Satan.” Related by At-Tirmidhi who graded is as Hasan.
May Allah grants us patience in life. Aamin
