FAJR REMINDER: *ALWAYS CALL ON ALLĀH*

Dhul-Hijjah 20, 1443 (19-July-2022)
Du'a (Supplication, Invocation) is truly a gift from our Lord, Al-Wahhab; the Ever-Giving, The Supreme Bestower. He has established a great relationship with us which allows us to directly call and speak to Him at any time, needing no intermediaries or special permission. Allāh says in Surah Al-Baqarah (2) Verse 186:
وَإِذَا سَأَلَكَ عِبَادِي عَنِّي فَإِنِّي قَرِيبٌ أُجِيبُ دَعْوَةَ الدَّاعِ إِذَا دَعَانِ فَلْيَسْتَجِيبُوا لِي وَلْيُؤْمِنُوا بِي لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْشُدُونَ
*“And when My slaves ask you (O Muhammad ﷺ) concerning Me, then (answer them), I am indeed near (to them by My Knowledge). I respond to the invocations of the supplicant when he calls on Me (without any mediator or intercessor).”*
Allāh loves that we call Him for our needs as this indicates our humility, complete submission, and servitude to Him. It's through it that we affirm our dire poverty and utmost need for Allāh. As recorded in Sunan at-Tirmidhī 3370, Abu Hurayrah (RadiyaLlāhu 'Anhu) reported: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, *“Nothing is more honorable to Allāh Almighty than supplication.”*
Thus, Allāh hates that He's not called because that is a sign of arrogance and disbelief. He says in Surah Ghafir (40) Verse 60: And your Lord said: *“Invoke Me [i.e. believe in My Oneness (Islamic Monotheism)] (and ask Me for anything) I will respond to your (invocation). Verily! Those who scorn My worship [i.e. do not invoke Me, and do not believe in My Oneness, (Islamic Monotheism)] they will surely enter Hell in humiliation!”*
On a final note, as recorded in Sunan at-Tirmidhī 3373, Abu Hurayrah (RadiyaLlāhu 'Anhu) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, *“Whoever never asks from Allāh, He will be angry with him.”*
I beseech Allāh to answer our supplication and make us firm on His Path. (Aameen)
