   WRITER'S POV 

❤️I had a program at lagos in the year 2019 so it was this abu's house which is my relative i stayed before i got an apartment.it was seven months after he did his third wife nikkah then. on the third day i got to their house,i noticed it was this second wife that was doing everything at home but i kept quiet thinking it might be her week to the house works not until after two weeks.she will sweep, wash dirty plates and cook. When i asked her what was going on, why was she the only doing everything at home, she said i should just be watching. Another thing i observed about her, she was lean,she looked sick and depressed but she was only trying to hide her sadness. Sometimes i will be talking to her while her mind will be somewhere else. Could you believe that the fishes this woman was frying was burning right in front of her and she didn't knew until i told her. I was worried for her that i told abu his wife ummu haneef (second wife) needs medical attention. Abu said there was nothing wrong with her.i also asked why iyawo doesn't do anything at home except to press phone,watch television and sleep.he said she was sick because of her condition. I didn't want to ask any more questions so that he think i was siding ummu haneef.

❤️one day,ummu haneef (the 2nd wife) told me she was not feeling fine that she wanted to go and buy medicines. i told her not to do self medication since there's health center nearby.i actually said this because of what have been observing about her. So i followed her to the place and she tender her complains.the nurse that checked her blood pressure shouted 'jesus' and left to called another elderly nurse to come and  checked it again 'eleha what's the problem' she asked'

❤️I asked the nurse what happened and she said her BP was too high infact they will have to admit her immediately. They took her to a ward but ummu said they should prescribe drugs for her. Why ummu ? Do you want to kill yourself'i asked angrily' tears started rolling down her face which made me felt bad for her 'aunty my children will suffer in my absence. No one will take care of them except my mom but she's not around now 'she replied' stop crying,i am here,i will take care of them till you are fine.please let them admit you 'i said. She nodded her head positively and laid on the bed.  While the were setting drip for her, i put a call through abu and told him  what happened and he came immediately .
