PONDER OVER YOURSELF

➖➖➖

Have a Self-Review

➖➖➖

We human beings are heedless.

We should fear Allah ﷻ and worry about ourselves constantly!

_

This is NOT saying be sad and gloomy all the time, rather a reminder to not get lost in the ecstasy of happiness.

_

We are deficient in our worship, our Taqwa, our obedience!

We increase in sin everyday and remain in heedlessness!

Feeling safe from the punishment of Allah ﷻ!

_

The Salaf used to do more than us, they were more obedient than us and better in all matters!

و السَّابِقُون السَّابِقُون

The forerunners! The forerunners!

أُؤلٓئِكَ هُمُ المُقَرَّبُون

Those are the closest to Allah

فِي جَنَّاتِ النَّعِيمِ

In the Gardens of Pleasure,

ثُلَّةٌ مِّنَ الأَوَّلِين

Many of them from the former generations

[56:10-13]

_

Yet, when unlike our deficient selves, they would constantly be conscious and fearful of Allah ﷻ!

_

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Oh people! Seek forgiveness! Indeed I seek forgiveness from Allah more than 70 times a day”

[Sahih al-Bukhārī 5948]

_

And this was the most perfect being on the face of this earth ﷺ

So what about us?

_

Just because we pray, give a little charity, do a little fasting, dawah, seeking knowledge etc.

We think we are good? We think we are completely free from punishment?

And because of that not repenting or being consistent and slacking in matters of Deen!

_

For this reason we need to everyday do something called محاسبة,

Taking Self account.

_

Umar ibn Al Khattab رضي الله عنه said “Account for yourselves before you are accounted for”

_

So sit and reflect on your day, week, life so far!

What I have I done to please Allah?

Have I displeased Him?

Am I ready to meet Allah ﷻ?

And most importantly,

What should I do to change myself?

Have a self review!

_

Sit and Reflect on this..

_

May Allah ﷻ forgive our shortcomings and keep us steadfast upon His deen.

آمِيْن

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

One of the question asked is can a Christian enter Jannah today?

One of the question asked is can a Christian enter Jannah today? Alhamdulillah, it is clear from Quran and hadiths that any christian who dies believing Jesus is God or son of God and do not believe in prophet Muhammad Peace be Upon Him will enter hellfire. Allah says, Al-Ma'idah 5:17 They have certainly disbelieved who say that Allāh is Christ, the son of Mary. Say, "Then who could prevent Allāh at all if He had intended to destroy Christ, the son of Mary, or his mother or everyone on the earth?" And to Allāh belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them. He creates what He wills, and Allāh is over all things competent.

PURIFICATION OF THE HEART

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm al-khamis, 20th day of Swafar 1447AH, Thursday, 14th August 2025. *_PURIFICATION OF THE HEART_*. BismilLah.  A sister asked me yesterday how we can purify ourselves to achieve the immense benefits mentioned in our reminder yesterday.  The command to purify our hearts from sins was an essential Islamic teaching ever since the early stages of the revelation in Mecca. This is known as “purification of the soul” (tazkiyyat an-nafs).   ALLAH Azzawajal says: He has succeeded who purifies the soul, and he has failed who corrupts the soul. Surah Ash-Shams 91:9-10. Also, ALLAH Azzawajal says: A day when there will be no benefit in wealth or children, but only in he who comes to ALLAH Azzawajal with a pure heart. Surah Ash-Shu’ara 26:88-89.  We learn from these verses that our success in the Hereafter depends upon the purification of our hearts in this life. We must purify our hearts from spiritual sins such as greed, malice, envy, arrog...
