*DU‘Ā, THE ESSENCE OF WORSHIP*

*EPISODE 4⃣: Whose du‘ā is most likely to be answered*

1️⃣ *The one who says the prayer of Dhu’n-Nun*
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "_*The prayer of Dhu’n-Nun (Yunus) which he said when he was in the belly of the whale:*_
*"...لَّآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّآ أَنتَ سُبْحَٰنَكَ إِنِّى كُنتُ مِنَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ"*
_"...La ilaha illa anta, subhanaka, inni kuntu min al-zalimin"_
*"None has the right to be worshipped but You (O Allaah)], Glorified (and Exalted) be You [above all that (evil) they associate with You]! Truly, I have been of the wrongdoers."*
(Al-Anbiyaa, 21:87)
_*No Muslim recites this du‘ā concerning any matter but Allaah will answer him.”*_
(Classed as sahih in Sahih al-Jami’, 3383.)
2️⃣ *The one who has been wronged.*
The Prophet (ﷺ): _*“Fear the prayer of the one who has been wronged, for there is no barrier between it and Allaah.”*_
(Al-Bukhari, 469)
3️⃣ *The parents against their child*
The Prophet (ﷺ): _*"There are three prayers that will be answered: the prayer of one who has been wronged, the prayer of a traveller, and the prayer of a father against his child.”*_
(Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 1905.)
Some scholars say that the supplication of the parents for the children also have a guarantee of response.
4️⃣ *The traveller.*
The Prophet (ﷺ) : ‘_*There are three prayers that will be answered: the prayer of one who has been wronged, the prayer of a traveller, and the prayer of a father against his child.”
(Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 1905.)
5️⃣ *The one who is fasting.*
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: _*"There are three prayers that are not rejected: the prayer of a father for his child, the prayer of the fasting person and the prayer of the traveller."*_
(Sahih al-Jami’, 2032.)
6⃣ *One who makes du‘ā for another in his absence.*
The Prophet (ﷺ): _*“There is no Muslim who prays for his brother in his absence, but the angel will say: And you will have something similar.”*_ (Muslim (2732)).
7⃣ *The one going for Hajj or Umrah*
The Prophet (ﷺ): _*“The one who fights in the cause of Allaah, and the pilgrim performing Hajj and ‘Umrah are a delegation to Allaah. He invited them, so they responded to Him, and they ask Him and He gives to them.”*_
(Ibn Majah 2893)
O Allaah, help us remember You, to be grateful to You, and to worship You in an excellent manner.
