Abu Lahab and his wife, Pharoah, Wahila are many of the few people mentioned in the Quran to be admitted in Hellfire. May Allah protect us from that..AMIN. Prophet being human fell sick and couldn't perform Tahajjud for some days for which the wife of Abu Lahab questioned if his so-called Satan has forsaken him...Na'uuzu bi-llah. It was at this moment this verse was revealed to assure Prophet. In an authentic narration, Prophet once went six months without receiving any Revelation which also amounted in this verse Revelation. It is also believed was in doubt (little) if his Prophet-hood is no more cus he last received revealagion sux months ago for which this chapter was revealed.

Prophet dream/prayer was to see the three popular Quraish dignitaries namely Umar bun Al-Khattab, Abu Jahl and Abu Lahab become Muslims but it was only Umar who accepted Islam at the end. Abu Lahab was the only uncle of Prophet who publicly refuse to protect Prophet but instead hated him the more. Abu Lahab didn't live long but died later due to a wound in his head. This verse/chapter is also believed to be revealed aftermath the sorrowful days of the death of His wife Khadijah(rta) and Abu Talib.

*Let's continue on this verse*👇.                           [61:6] Al-Ṣaff-

(And also recall) when ‘Isa, the son of Maryam (Jesus, the son of Mary) said: ‘O Children of Israel, indeed I am (a Messenger) sent to you by Allah, confirming the Torah, the Book which came before me, and bearing the good news of (the pleasant arrival) of (the Esteemed) Messenger (blessings and peace be upon him) who will come after me, whose name is Ahmad (now in the heavens).’ But when he (the Last of the Messengers) came to them with clear signs, they said: ‘This is open magic.’

Volume 6, Book 60, Number 419:

Narrated Jubair bin Mutim:

I heard Allah's Apostle saying, 'I have several names: I am Muhammad and I am Ahmad, and I am Al-Mahi with whom Allah obliterates Kufr (disbelief), and I am Al-Hashir (gatherer) at whose feet (i.e. behind whom) the people will be gathered (on the Day of Resurrection), and I am Al-Aqib (i.e. who succeeds the other prophets in bringing about good)".

There's no doubt Prophet Isah pbuh didn't command his disciples to worship him but Allah. He also made mention to then of an incoming Prophet who's name will be *Ahmed*. From the Hadith we can conclude Prophet's other name is Ahmed. We can also note from the Hadith that Prophet Muhamad pbuh Wil suceeeds the other Prophets in bringing about good on the day of Reckoning. Jews only found it difficult believing in Prophet/Islamic monetheism just cus he didn't emerge from Israel.

*Let's continue on brief tafsir on these verses*👇.                                       [11:50] Hūd-

And to the people of ‘Ad (We sent) their (kinship) brother Hud. He said: ‘O my people, worship Allah. You have no God other than Him. You merely invent a lie against Allah (of having a partner).

O my people! I do not demand of you any recompense for this (promotion and preaching of the message). My reward is (a bountiful obligation) upon Him Who has created me. Do you not apply your mind?

They said: ‘O Hud, you have not brought us any clear proof. Neither are we going to forsake our gods at your behest, nor are we to believe in you.

We can say nothing except that one of our gods has afflicted you with (mental) disorder.’ Hud said: ‘Indeed, I call Allah to witness, and you too bear witness that I have no concern with those whom you associate as partners with Allah.

And when Our command (of torment) came to pass, (then) We saved Hud and the believers with him because of Our mercy, and We delivered them from severe punishment.

The people of Ad lived many years in the windswept hills of an area between Yemen and Oman. They were physically well-built and renowned for their craftsmanship especially in the construction of tall buildings with lofty towers. They were outstanding among all the nations in power and wealth, which, unfortunately, made them arrogant and boastful. Their political power was held in the hand of unjust rulers, against whom no one dared to raise a voice. They were not ignorant of the existence of Allah, nor did they refuse to worship Him. What they did refuse was to worship Allah alone. They worshiped other gods, also, including idols. This is one sin Allah does not forgive.

They were a town in between Oman and Yemen. Prophet was sent to them to preach them to worship the only Allah.Hud tried to speak to them and to explain about Allah's blessings: how Allah the Almighty had made them Noah's successors, how He had given them strength and power, and how He sent them rain to revive the soil. Hud's people looked about them and found they were the strongest on earth, so they became prouder and more obstinate. Thus they argued a lot with Hud. They asked: "0 Hud! Do you say that after we die and turn into dust, we will be resurrected?" He replied: 'Yes, you will come back on the Day of Judgment and each one of you will be asked about what you did".

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 22nd day of Jumaadal Uula 1447AH, Thursday, 13th November, 2025.  *_HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN_*. BismilLah.  When we help our brothers and sisters in Islam, in reality, we are helping ourselves. The Messenger of ALLAH (S.A.W) said: He who relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, ALLAH Azzawajallah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Judgment. He who makes easy what is difficult, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will make it easy for him in the world and the hereafter. He who conceals the faults of a Muslim, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will conceal his faults in this ALLAH Azzawajallah world and the Hereafter, for ALLAH helps the servant as long as he helps his brother. Source: Ṣaḥīḥ "Muslim 2699. AlhamdulilLah.  With this I hope with immediate effect we will all strive to help each other in any possible way such as making dua for each other, supporting our relatives and those in need in ou...

THE MUSLIM WOMAN AND HER OWN SELF

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm athalaatha, 3rd day of Rabeeul Awwal 1447AH, Tuesday, 26th August 2025. *_THE MUSLIM WOMAN AND HER OWN SELF_*. BismilLah.  Islam encourages Muslims in general to stand out among people, readily distinguishable by their dress, appearance and behaviour, so that they will be a good example, worthy of the great message that they bring to humanity. According to the hadith narrated by the great Sahabi Ibn al-Hanzaliyyah, the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam ) told his Companions, when they were travelling to meet some brothers in faith: "You are going to visit your brothers, so repair your saddles and make sure that you are dressed well, so that you will stand out among people like an adornment, for ALLAH (SWT) does not love ugliness." Reported by Imam Abu Dawud, 4/83, in Kitab al-libas, bab ma ja'a fi isbal al-izar. The Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) considered an unkempt and careless appearance, and scruffy clothes and furnishings, to be...
