*What To Do Next!*
--------------------------------بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
It’s important to strive for continuous self-improvement and spiritual growth, even outside of Ramadan. As Allah says in the Quran 📚(29:69), *“And those who strive for Us – We will surely guide them to Our ways. And indeed, Allah is with the doers of good.”* This means making a conscious effort to avoid sin and negative influences, and to seek out opportunities for personal and spiritual development even outside of the month of Ramadan.
My People!
Having reminded us to strive hard to keep the spirit of Ramadan INTACT till the next year Ramadan - In Shaa Allah, there's another very important act of worship which follow the fasting in the month of Ramadan.
*Fast Six Days in This Month (Shawwal):*
It is highly recommended by the Sunnah for a Muslim to fast six days in the month of Shawwal. Yes. Fasting for six days in Shawwal entails great reward and blessings from Allah Almighty.
Evidence:
The Prophet (pbuh) is reported to have said, *“Whoever fasts the month of Ramadan, and then follows it up by (fasting) six days of Shawwal, it is as if he or she has fasted the whole year.”*📚(Muslim)
Here,
It is important to point out that it is not compulsory for a Muslim to fast the six days of Shawwal CONSECUTIVELY. Yes. So long as one has fasted six days, either consecutively or separately, he or she will fulfill the requirement and will receive the same rewards - In Shaa Allah
Finally,
Even though majority of us do not like voluntary fasting, but if we look at the quantity of rewards of one who have fasted ONE COMPLETE YEAR, then, it is something we should strive to grab.
May Allah (swt) increase us in strength and make it easy for us to grab the rewards of fasting sitta-shawwal (6days fast in the month of Shawwal). Ameen Ya Hayyu La Yamoot Abadah.
