Surah Al-Anaam, Verse 131 and 132

*Surah Al-Anaam, Verse 131:*


ذَٰلِكَ أَن لَّمْ يَكُن رَّبُّكَ مُهْلِكَ الْقُرَىٰ بِظُلْمٍ وَأَهْلُهَا غَافِلُونَ


This is because your Lord would not destroy the (populations of) towns for their wrong-doing (i.e. associating others in worship along with Allah) while their people were unaware (so the Messengers were sent).

*Surah Al-Anaam, Verse 132:*

وَلِكُلٍّ دَرَجَاتٌ مِّمَّا عَمِلُوا وَمَا رَبُّكَ بِغَافِلٍ عَمَّا يَعْمَلُونَ


For all there will be degrees (or ranks) according to what they did. And your Lord is not unaware of what they do.


#COMMENTARY


On good and evil there are infinite degrees, in our deeds and motives; so will there be degrees in our spiritual position. For everything is known to Almighty ALLĀH (Sub-haanahu wata'aala), better than it is to ourselves.

 *BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD* It is best to delay this prayer to the last third portion of the night. Abu Hurairah reports that the Messenger of Allah said: "Our Lord descends to the lowest heaven during the last third of the night, inquiring: 'Who will call on Me so that I may respond to him?
