The caution of vain talks.
Alhamdulillah, vain talks is haraam in islam as before we talk we have to think if whether what we are going to say is good or evil.
As reported in hadith,
The messenger of Allah peace be upon Him said,
Let anyone who believes in Allah speak good or keep silent.
Sahih.
Allah says in Quran,
An-Nur 24:15
When you received it with your tongues[1] and said with your mouths that of which you had no knowledge and thought it was insignificant while it was, in the sight of Allāh, tremendous.
As reported in hadith,
Ibn Mas'ud (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Truth leads to piety and piety leads to Jannah. A man persists in speaking the truth till he is recorded with Allah as a truthful man. Falsehood leads to transgression and transgression leads to the Hell-fire. A man continues to speak falsehood till he isrecorded with Allah as a great liar." [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].
Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her) said:
I said to the Prophet (ﷺ): "Such and such thing of Safiyyah (May Allah be pleased with her) is sufficient for you." (She means to say that she was a woman with a short stature). He said, "You have indeed uttered a word whichwould pollute the sea if it were mixed in it." She further said: I imitated a person before him and he said, "I do not like that I should imitate someone even (if I am paid) in return such and such." [Abu Dawud and At-Tirmidhi
Lets be cautions of our words for it can divide families, destroy home, even a person can turn to a disbeliever by tongue and what he utters.
The messenger of Allah told Muadh ibn Jabal R.A to keep hold of his tongue and he will be safe.
