DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 7th day of Dhul-Hijjah, 1445AH (Thursday, 13th June 2024). *_HOW THE SACRIFICED ANIMALS' MEAT SHOULD BE SHARED_*. BismilLah.  It is prescribed in the shariah for the person who offers the sacrifice to eat some of the meat, to give some as gifts and to give some in charity, as ALLAH says:  “Then eat thereof and feed therewith the poor having a hard time” [al-Hajj 22:28]. “eat thereof, and feed the poor who does not ask (men), and the beggar who asks (men). Thus have ALLAH made them subject to you that you may be grateful” [al-Hajj 22:36]. It was narrated from Salamah ibn al-Akwa’ (may ALLAH be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of ALLAH be upon him) said: “Eat some, give some to others and store some.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari. Giving some to others includes both giving gifts to the rich and giving charity to the poor.  It was narrated from ‘Aa’ishah (may ALLAH be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace a...

A White Saturday

*A White Saturday* -------------------------------- Ψ¨Ψ³Ω… Ψ§Ω„Ω„Ω‡ Ψ§Ω„Ψ±ΨΩ…Ω† Ψ§Ω„Ψ±ΨΩŠΩ… Saturday (the 15th day of June 2024) is this year day of Arafat. This reminds me, Abu Hafsah (RA) reported that the Prophet, upon whom be peace, said: *"Fasting on the Day of 'Arafah absolves the sins for two years: the previous year and the coming year, and fasting on 'Ashura, (the tenth day of Muharram) atones for the sins of previous years."* πŸ“šReported by all except Al-Bukhari and At-Tirmidhi In another saying the Prophet's wife Hafsah, (RA) said: "Four things the Messenger of AllΓ’h never neglected: Observing fast on the day of 'Ashura, 'Arafat, three days every month, and offering fajr sunnah prayers early in the morning." πŸ“šMuslim These statements are proof that fasting on the ninth of Dhul-Hijjah, the day before 'Eid ul-Adha was a lifelong practice of the Prophet (PBUH), as his wife reported. *More Reasons Why We Should Not Miss-out In This Fasting:* 1.  *Days Righteous Deeds are More Beloved to Allah* [[-- Final Episode --]] -------------------------------- Ψ¨Ψ³Ω… Ψ§Ω„Ω„Ω‡ Ψ§Ω„Ψ±ΨΩ…Ω† Ψ§Ω„Ψ±ΨΩŠΩ… *Lessons learned from all we have said so far (Episode 1️⃣ to πŸ”Ÿ) - blessed ten days of Dhul Hijjah:* There are morals to be learned from all we have said so far of these blessed ten days. These include: • We learn that among numerous good works, it is important not simply to do whatever is good in and of itself (we should do good), but rather we are to do the particular good that is appropriate for the time. Thus, we exert ourselves in one way in Ramadan and another in Dhul-Hijjah. • These days remind us that we have limited days on earth. The days of Dhul-Hijjah come and go as do the days of life. So we should utilise them in the highest and best possible way. • The ten days of Dhul-Hijjah make a way for those who feel they did not perform to the optimum level they had hoped for in Ramadan to make up for any shortcomings. This also teaches us to always...

WHO SHOULD OFFER A SACRIFICE DURING EIDUL ADHAR

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Ath-thalaatha. 5th day of Dhul-Hijjah, 1445AH (Tuesday, 11th June 2024). *_WHO SHOULD OFFER A SACRIFICE DURING EIDUL ADHAR_*. BismilLah.    The Masenger of ALLAH (sallallahu Alaihi wasallam) is reported to have said: “Whoever can afford to offer a sacrifice but does not do so, let him not approach our place for prayer. (Reported by Ahmad and Ibn Maajah; classed as saheeh by al-Haakim from the hadeeth of Abu Hurayrah (may ALLAAH be pleased with him).   Offering sacrifice during `Eid Al-Adha is regarded as waajib or mandatory according to Imam Abu Hanifah and as sunnah mu'akkadah or confirmed Sunnah according to other jurists for those who has regularly income or those WHO CAN AFFORD. 7 people can share one cow as their sacrifice, a sheep and goat are all permitted. So basically it's only compulsory for those who can afford so please don't ignore it if you can afford. It's not only for married couple please. Any Muslim adult who can ...

*Days Righteous Deeds are More Beloved to Allah* [[-- Episode Ten --]] -------------------------------- Ψ¨Ψ³Ω… Ψ§Ω„Ω„Ω‡ Ψ§Ω„Ψ±ΨΩ…Ω† Ψ§Ω„Ψ±ΨΩŠΩ… The first ten days of Dhul Hijjah are often referred to as the best ten days of the year.. Dhul-Hijjah is also the month of Eid-ul-Adha, the Festival of the Ritual Sacrifice, which lasts four days. The Eid day and the following 3 days called *"days of Tashreeq"*.. The 10th day of Dhul-Hijjah is the first day of Eid. It is also known as the Day of Slaughter (Yawm al-Nahr), for on it the sacrifice of animals begins. Now, *The Sunan that the Muslim should observe on the day of Eid Al Adha are as follows:* 1 – Doing ghusl before going out to the prayer 2 – Adorning oneself on the occasion of Eid. 3 – Eating and slaughtering of animals after the prayer on Eid al-Adha On Eid al-Adha it is mustahabb not to eat anything until one comes back from the prayer, so he should eat from the udhiyah if he or she has offered a sacrifice. If he or she is not going to o...

ARAFAH DAY FALLS ON SATURDAY, SHOULD WE FAST OR NOT

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm al-ithnayn. 4th day of Dhul-Hijjah, 1445AH (Monday, 10th June 2024). *_ARAFAH DAY FALLS ON SATURDAY, SHOULD WE FAST OR NOT_*. BismilLah.  AlhamdulilLah for HIS Blessings and Guidance. We pray that ALLAH keep guiding us all and forgive our shortcomings. It's my hope that majority are fasting today and will continue to fast as many as possible if not all till the Day of Eid be-iznilLah.  We all know that scholars have debated on this topic and I'm hopeful that many reading this reminder have come across those who are in favour and those who are not in favour of fasting on Saturdays in general. I have decided to write on this topic because of my previous stand in favour of not fasting of Saturdays BUT due majority sheikhs I have listened this week explaining that Arafah day is a special day to fast for those who are not performing Hajj, the hadith on not fasting on Saturdays even if authentic should NOT make fasting on Arafah day forbidden whic...

Misconception Cleared

*Misconception Cleared* -------------------------------- *Fasting on Saturday:* Ψ¨Ψ³Ω… Ψ§Ω„Ω„Ω‡ Ψ§Ω„Ψ±ΨΩ…Ω† Ψ§Ω„Ψ±ΨΩŠΩ… Almost *all* the sunni scholars have agreed that the hadeeth which says that *"the Prophet (PBUH) prohibited fasting on Saturdays or Sundays is only talking about people who single out Saturday or Sunday to observe VOLUNTARY fast. EVIDENCE NO 1 ♻Al-Nawawi wrote in his book Minhaj al-Talibin: "It is the Sunnah to fast on Monday and Thursday, the day of Arafat, the day of Ashura and the ninth of al-Muharram, the white days (that's - the 13th, 14th, and 15th of each month), and six days of Shawwal and to do so consecutively is better. It is disliked to single out Friday or Saturday for fasting" πŸ“šSource: Minha‌j al-T‌a‌libi‌n 1/79 EVIDENCE NO 2 ♻ Imaam at-Tirmidhee said: “The above hadeeth is Hasan. Following the sighting of the moon, this year the Day of 'Arafah falls on Saturday 15th June 2024. My people! The above information is necessary because, one of the reasons that should encourage us to increase in our worship during these blessed First 10days of Dhu'l Hijjah is indicated in the hadeeth narrated: Abu Qatadah that the Prophet (pbuh) said, *“Fasting on the day of Arafah is expiation for two years, the year preceding it and the year following it. And fasting the day of Ashura is expiation for the year preceding it.”* πŸ“šMuslim Therefore, Even if you are unable to fast for the whole ten days, try to fast on just the Day of ’Arafah, the 9th of Dhul Hijjah equivalent to Saturday 15th June 2024.. Prophet Muhammad told his companions that there is man who will come to you from Yemen. He comes from Murad and the tribe of Qaran. ACTS OF WORSHIP IN THESE BLESSED DAYS OF DHUL HIJJAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawmul Ahad. 3rd day of Dhul-Hijjah, 1445AH (Sunday, 9th June 2024). *_ACTS OF WORSHIP IN THESE BLESSED DAYS OF DHUL HIJJAH_*. BismilLah.  AlhamdulilLah for blessing and guiding us to be part of these blessed days of Dhul-Hijjah.  It's important to busy ourselves with  doing more good deeds in general, because good deeds are beloved by ALLAH and will bring a great reward from HIM. Those of us who could not make it to Hajj should occupy ourselves at this blessed time by worshipping ALLAH, reciting Qur’an, remembering ALLAH with more zikir, making supplication (du’aa’), giving charity, honouring our parents, upholding the ties of kinship by supporting our relatives for the upcoming eid, enjoining what is good and forbidding what is evil, and other good deeds and acts of worship. *_May ALLAH keep guiding us all and protect us from any satanic influences_*. BismilLah.  The first ten days of Dhul Hijjah hold great religious significance. It is a special period in the annual Islamic (Hijri) calendar. A time when we Muslims are advised to increase our acts of goodness and spirituality to reap the rewards of the most blessed days.  Aside fasting as much as we can within the 8 days left before Eid, we must also strive to do the following; INCREASING DAILY PRAYERS (SALAH) On these blessed days, take this time to perfect and increase the daily practice of Salah. If you haven’t been praying the five fardh (obligatory) prayers – Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha on time, now is the time to start. Try to pray together with your friends and family, as there are more rewards for praying together. “Salat in congregation is twenty-seven times more meritorious than a Salat performed indiv...

Consequently, Friday, June 7, mark the beginning of Dhu al-Hijjah, the final month of the Islamic calendar. Therefore, The ways doing good deeds is highly rewarding is doing wrong in this month. Yes, doing any bad deeds like visiting people who claim to have the knowledge of unseen and observing or obeying their satanic instructions, listening to music, watching haram programs on TV, backbiting, engaging in Zina in any form (eg looking, touching and doing the main the main), etc etc, increases the degree of sin more than the same act in other months. THE 10 DAYS OF GOLDEN BENEFITS.

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawmul Jumuat. 1st day of Dhul-Hijjah, 1445AH (Friday 7th June 2024). *THE 10 DAYS OF GOLDEN BENEFITS.* BismilLaahir Rahmanir AlhamdulilLah today is 1st day of Dhul Hijjah. We pray that ALLAH grant us the opportunity to be part of these great 10 days ahead. Praise be to ALLAH Who has created Time and has made some times better than others, some months and days and nights better than others, when rewards are multiplied many times, as a mercy towards HIS slaves. This encourages us to do more righteous deeds and make us more eager to worship HIM, so that we renew our efforts to gain a greater share of reward, prepare ourselves for death and offer ourselves in readiness for the Day of Judgement. We Muslim must understand the value of our lives, increase our worship of ALLAH and persist in doing good deeds until the moment of death. Muslim Faithful! Two reasons that should encourage us to increase in our worship during these blessed days are: (1) Abu Hurairah (ra) reported that the Prophet (pbuh) said, *“There are no days more loved to Allah for you to worship Him than the ten days of Dhul-Hijjah. Fasting any day during it is equivalent to fasting one year, and to offer tahajjud prayer (late night prayer) during one of its nights is like performing the night of power, Lailatul Qadr.”* πŸ“š (At-Tirmidhi) (2) Abu Qatadah reported that the Prophet (pbuh) said, *“Fasting on the day of Arafah is expiation for two years, the year preceding it and the year following it.
