Let us continue with our topic from yesterday's reminder. As Muslims, it is important that we act upon our Eemaan. If our Eemaan never affects our Ṣalāh, honesty, modesty, relationships, business dealings, treatment of others, or obedience to Allāh ʿAzza wa Jall and His Messenger (ﷺ), then we should seriously examine the condition of our Eemaan. This does not mean that every Muslim who commits a sin has no Eemaan. Muslims can become weak, fall into sin, and then sincerely repent. Rather, the danger lies in claiming Eemaan while deliberately refusing to allow that Eemaan to influence the way we live our daily lives. Think of Eemaan like the root of a tree, while righteous deeds are its fruit. A healthy tree should eventually produce fruit. While you are hanging an amulet for protection, wearing a charm against evil, or running to a magician because you fear what someone may do to you, have you forgotten the One Who protected you before you could even pronounce His Name? Consider Prophet Mūsā (ʿAlayhi Salām). Before he was born, Firʿaun had ordered the killing of the male children among Banī Isrāʾīl. Mūsā (ʿAlayhi Salām) was only a helpless infant. His mother could not overpower Firʿaun. His family could not defeat his army. No human being could guarantee that this newborn child would survive. But Mūsā had a Protector—Allāh. Rabīʿ al-Akhīr 7, 1448 AH | 19 September 2026 When the early light of Islām began to shine through the message of the Prophet ﷺ, ʿUthmān ibn Maẓʿūn (Raḍiyallāhu ʿAnhu) was among those who hastened to embrace the truth. He was one of the early Muslims who supported the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ and sacrificed for the sake of Allāh. His wife, Khawlah bint Ḥakīm as-Sulamiyyah (Raḍiyallāhu ʿAnha), was also among the early Muslims. Allāh (ﷻ) says: “And the foremost are the foremost.” [Sūrah al-Wāqiʿah 56:10] ʿUthmān ibn Maẓʿūn was among the noble Companions.   FAJR REMINDER: COVERING THE ‘AWRAH IN PRAYER Rabī‘ al-Akhīr 6, 1448 AH (18 September 2026) Among the Shurūṭ aṣ-Ṣiḥḥah (conditions for the validity) of Ṣalāh is covering the ‘Awrah. Allah ﷻ says: “O Children of Ādam! Take your adornment at every prayer...” (Sūrah al-A‘rāf 7:31) Ibn ‘Abbās (Raḍiyallāhu ‘Anhumā) explained that what is meant by Zīnah (adornment) in this verse includes wearing clothing during prayer. [See: Tafsīr aṭ-Ṭabarī, 12/391] But what exactly is the ‘Awrah? In the terminology of the jurists, the ‘Awrah refers to those parts of the body that must be covered and whose exposure is prohibited in circumstances where covering is required. The details differ between men and women and according to the circumstances. [See: Al-Mawsū‘ah al-Fiqhiyyah , 24/173] Ṣalāh is an act of worship in which the servant stands before his Lord.   DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER Yaum As-Sabt | 8th day of Rabee-uth-Thaani, 1448 AH | Saturday, 19th September, 2026 EEMAAN SHOULD PRODUCE RIGHTEOUS ACTIONS Bismillāh. It is important to always remember that Eemaan is not merely something we claim with our tongues or keep in our hearts. Genuine Eemaan should be reflected in our actions and character. The Qur’an repeatedly connects Eemaan with righteous deeds. ALLAH Azzawajal says: إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ “Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds…” This expression appears repeatedly throughout the Qur’an, showing the close connection between belief and righteous action. ALLAH Azzawajal says: وَالْعَصْرِ ۝ إِنَّ الْإِنسَانَ لَفِي خُسْرٍ ۝ إِلَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالْحَقِّ وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالصَّبْرِ “By time!   A Gift For You [— Episode 11 —] بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ Listen carefully, my brother and my sister. Your good deeds are like a beautiful garden. Every prayer, every charity, and every act of kindness is like a strong, healthy tree growing in that garden. But there is a fire that can burn that entire garden to ashes in seconds. That fire is your tongue. Yes! When you speak about a Muslim in their absence in a way they would dislike, you are digging a grave. Yes, you are digging a grave for your own good deeds. You then throw your beautiful deeds into that grave and watch them burn. They can disappear as quickly as fire consumes dry leaves. It does not matter whether what you said is true. If the person would dislike hearing it, it is backbiting (Gheebah) . It is a grave sin. But if what you said is not true , then it is even worse. It is recommended for him to pray two rakʿahs as the Prayer of Repentance ( Ṣalāt al-Tawbah ). When a person sincerely repents, it is good for him to follow that repentance with a righteous deed—and among the greatest of righteous deeds is prayer. Through these two rakʿahs, he draws closer to ALLAH AZZA WAAJAL, hoping that He will accept his repentance and forgive his sin.   DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER Yaum Al-Khamis | 6th day of Rabee-uthaani, 1448 AH | Thursday, 17th September, 2026. WHY DOES ALLAH AZZA WAAJAL MENTION TWO COMPLETE YEARS OF BREASTFEEDING? Bismillāhir-Raḥmānir-Raḥīm. Let's continue with our topic from yesterday's reminder. The verse establishes two complete years as the period of suckling and nursing. The wording, “for whoever wishes to complete the nursing,” shows that two years represents the completion of the normal nursing period . Classical tafsīr, including the explanation of Ibn Kathīr, understands the verse as directing mothers towards completing the period of suckling for two years. This is significant because ALLAH AZZA WAAJAL knows the needs of the child better than anyone . A newborn child is completely dependent upon adults.
