There are people whom you do not need to overwhelm with numerous verses or lengthy proofs. Rather, what is needed is to awaken their intellects and appeal to their reasoning. This was among the approaches employed by Prophet Ibrāhīm (‘Alayhi Salām) when he engaged his people through logical argument and direct confrontation of their false beliefs and polytheism. How did he do this? Prophet Ibrāhīm (‘Alayhi Salām) openly declared his intention against their idols, and some of his people heard him when he swore: “And by Allāh, I shall plot a plan (to destroy) your idols after you have gone away and turned your backs.” [Sūrah Al-Anbiyā' (21): 57] Later, when his people were heading out for one of their pagan festivals, they invited him to join them. Good deeds done now are more beloved to Allah (swt) than any other days of the year. So you pray more. You say “SubhanAllah” and “Alhamdulillah” more. You fast. This is Good. But wait. Stop.  FAJR REMINDER: NO EXCUSE FOR NEGLIGENCE By: Umm Affān Dhū al-Ḥijjah 5, 1447 (22-May-2026) We are all aware of the importance of Jumu’ah prayer and that it is Fard ‘Ayn (an individual obligation) upon every able-bodied Muslim man. Likewise, we know the serious consequences attached to abandoning it. Exemptions only apply to those upon whom it is not obligatory, or to individuals engaged in life-threatening and unavoidable duties such as healthcare, security, and similar critical fields that fall under Ḥājah (Need) and Darūrah (Necessity). Among the Maqāṣid (higher objectives) of Islāmic Jurisprudence is the preservation of life and the prevention of harm. Based on this, there is a legal maxim that states: “Ad-Dararu yuzāl” (i.e., Harm must be eliminated). This means that one’s observance of prayer should not result in danger or hardship for others.  FAJR REMINDER: THE RELIGION OF IBRĀHĪM  By: Umm Affān Dhū al-Ḥijjah 4, 1447 (21-May-2026) There are remarkable similarities between Prophet Ibrāhīm (‘Alayhi Salām) and his noble successor, Prophet Muḥammad (ﷺ). Just as Allāh Himself guided Prophet Ibrāhīm (‘Alayhi Salām) to Tawḥīd (Islāmic Monotheism), He also guided Prophet Muḥammad (ﷺ) to the truth. Even before revelation descended upon him, the Prophet (ﷺ) distanced himself from the practices of the Mushrikūn (polytheists) of Makkah and would retreat to the cave of Hira, reflecting deeply upon his Lord and seeking the truth.  Avoid Part-timing ------------------ بسم الله الرحمان الرجيم The first ten days of Dhul Hijjah are the best ten days of the whole year. Better than any other days. Better than all the Fridays. Better than any nights except the last ten of Ramadan. My People, If you pray Tahajjud on a normal night, Allah (swt) loves that so much. He loves it more than most other voluntary prayers established during the day. So think about this: If Tahajjud is the most loved prayer on normal days… what about Tahajjud in these ten days of dhul-hjjah? It is like bringing fire to a fuel tank. It will explode with blessings. Yes. Your small cry in the night becomes a huge mountain of good deeds. Your few minutes with Allah (swt) in the middle of the night become better than a thousand months. Do not miss this. The number seven appears repeatedly in Islamic worship and creation: Seven Heavens, Seven Earths, Seven Rounds of Ṭawāf, Seven Circuits between Ṣafā and Marwah, Seven pebbles in stoning the Jamarāt. In fact, the people most beloved to Him are often those who are tested the most, so long as they possess true Eemān and remain patient. Sa’d Ibn Abī Waqqās (Raḍiyallāhu ‘Anhu) reported: I said, “O Messenger of Allāh, which people are tested most severely?” The Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ) said, “They are the prophets, then the next best, then the next best. A man is put to trial according to his religion. If he is firm in his religion, his trials will be more severe. If he is weak in his religion, he is put to trial according to his strength in religion.
