We must firmly believe that the knowledge of the Ghayb (the unseen and hidden matters) belongs to Allāh alone. No one shares with Him in this exclusive attribute. Yet, it is unfortunate that some people claim knowledge of what is hidden, thereby competing with what belongs solely to Allāh. These are the soothsayers, fortunetellers, and others who present themselves as religious figures, spiritual leaders, or herbalists. They claim to possess knowledge of unseen matters and employ various methods such as drawing lines in the sand, reading palms, casting sea-shells, and similar practices. Such individuals prey upon the ignorance and vulnerability of people, exploiting them for financial gain. Some may argue, “But, sometimes, what they say comes true.” Indeed, this may occur occasionally. However, this does not validate their claims. They remain liars who cooperate with the Shayāṭī...

BismilLah.  Let's continue with our studies of this beautiful suurah At-Takwīr: Verses 19–21: The Qur'an Came Through Angel Jibreel (عليه السلام) إِنَّهُ لَقَوْلُ رَسُولٍ كَرِيمٍ ۝١٩ ذِي قُوَّةٍ عِندَ ذِي الْعَرْشِ مَكِينٍ ۝٢٠ مُطَاعٍ ثَمَّ أَمِينٍ ۝٢١ 19. "Indeed, this is truly the word conveyed by a noble Messenger;" 20. "Possessing great strength and having high rank with the Lord of the Throne;" 21. "Obeyed there (among the Angels) and trustworthy." Commentary:  These 3 verses are a direct response to the accusations of the disbelievers of Makkah at the time of Revelation who claimed that the Qur'an was poetry, magic, or the speech of a madman. BismilLah.  Assalaamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakaatuh. A gentle reminder that tomorrow is the 9th of Muharram, followed by ʿĀshūrāʾ (10th Muharram). Let us revive the Sunnah of fasting on these blessed days as recommended by our beloved Messenger of ALLAH sallallahu alaihi wasallam. Some key lessons from the story of Prophet Musah عليه السلام: Victory comes through patience – "Indeed, ALLAH is with the patient." (Qur'an 2:153).  FAJR REMINDER: ACCEPTANCE IS THE SIXTH By: Umm Affān Muḥarram 8, 1448 (23-June-2026) The sixth condition of Lā ilāha ill-Allāh (none is worthy of worship except Allāh) is Qabūl (Acceptance). After acquiring ‘Ilm (Knowledge) and Yaqīn (Certainty) regarding Lā ilāha ill-Allāh, a believer must also demonstrate complete and unconditional acceptance of what it entails. This acceptance is manifested both in the heart and upon the tongue, and it stands in direct opposition to rejection. Allāh (ﷻ) says: “Truly, when it was said to them: Lā ilāha ill-Allāh (none has the right to be worshipped but Allāh), they puffed themselves up with pride (i.e. denied it). And (they) said: Are we going to abandon our ‘ālihah (gods) for the sake of a mad poet?” [Sūrah Aṣ-Ṣāffāt (37): 35-36] These verses clearly demonstrate that the disbelievers' arrogance prevented them from accepting Lā ilāha ill-Allāh. I said: O Jibreel, what is this beautiful fragrance? He said: This is the fragrance of the hairdresser of Pharaoh’s daughter and her children. I said: What is their story? He said: Whilst she was combing the hair of Pharaoh’s daughter one day, the iron comb fell from her hand and she said,, ‘Bismillaah (in the name of Allah).’ The daughter of Pharaoh said: ‘My father?’ She said: ‘No. My Lord and the Lord of your father is Allah.’ She said: ‘I will tell him (Pharaoh) about that.’ She said: ‘Yes.’ So she told Pharaoh and he summoned her and said: ‘O So and so, do you have a Lord other than me?’ She said: ‘Yes, my Lord and your Lord is Allah.’ He ordered that a baqarah (lit. “cow”) made of copper be heated up, then he ordered that she and her children be...

BismilLah.  Let's continue with our studies of this beautiful suurah At-Takwīr. Verses 12–14 وَإِذَا الْجَحِيمُ سُعِّرَتْ ۝١٢ وَإِذَا الْجَنَّةُ أُزْلِفَتْ ۝١٣ عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَّا أَحْضَرَتْ ۝١٤ 12. "And when the Hellfire is fiercely kindled," 13. "And when Paradise is brought near," 14. "Then every soul will know what it has brought forward." Commentary: These three verses form a complete scene of the Day of Judgment. After describing the destruction of the universe and the gathering of creation, ALLAH Azzawajal now mentions the two final destinations: Jahannam (Hellfire) for those who rejected ALLAH and persisted in sin.  FAJR REMINDER: TRUTHFULNESS IS THE FIFTH By: Umm Affān Muḥarram 7, 1448 (22-June-2026) The fifth condition of Lā ilāha ill-Allāh is Sidq (Truthfulness and Honesty). This condition stands in direct opposition to lies and falsehood. When a person declares Lā ilāha ill-Allāh (none is worthy of worship except Allāh), the question is: does he truly mean it? More importantly, do his actions reflect the reality of that testimony? The true nature of this declaration becomes evident when a believer is tested. When trials arise because of Lā ilāha ill-Allāh, do you remain firm, relying solely upon Allāh for help, or do you turn to others, seeking from them what only Allāh can provide? Allāh (ﷻ) says: “Do people think that they will be left alone because they say: ‘We believe,’ and will not be tested. And We indeed tested those who were before them. And Allāh will certainly make (it) known (the truth of) those who are true, and will certainly make (it) known (the falsehood of) those who are ...

 *Tayammum Step By Step* ------------------ بسم الله الرخمان الرحيم Tayammum (dry ablution) replaces Wudhu (ablution) or Ghusl and enables a person to do any acts of worship that normally require Wudhu or Ghusl. *How to perform Tayammum:* 1. Intention, it is to be made in the mind, not uttered.         2. Basmallah, i.e. to say Bismillah (I begin with the name of Allah).           3. Strike the ground (or substance being used) with the palms of the hands and then blow off any excess dust.  4. Wipe the face with the hands once only.    5. Wipe over the back of the right hand up to the wrist with the palm of the left hand.      6. Wipe over the back of the left hand up to the wrist with the palm of the right hand.      Now, Scholars are divided on the issue of rubbing or not rubbing the arm to elbow during tayammum.. Yes..  FAJR REMINDER: SUBMISSION IS THE FOURTH By: Umm Affān Muḥarram 6, 1448 (21-June-2026) The fourth condition of Lā ilāha ill-Allāh (i.e. none is worthy of worship except Allāh) is Inqiyād (submission, obedience, and complete compliance with what it necessitates). This is an essential requirement of true Faith. Allāh (ﷻ) praises those who sincerely submit themselves to Him and makes such submission a hallmark of genuine belief. He (ﷻ) says: “And who can be better in religion than one who submits his face (himself) to Allāh (i.e. follows Allāh's Religion of Islāmic Monotheism).” [Sūrah An-Nisā' (4): 125] Indeed, the very essence of Islām is to surrender oneself completely to Allāh by devoting every act of worship to Him Alone, obeying His Commands, and remaining free from every form of Shirk. BismilLah.  Let's continue with our studies of suurah At-Takwīr. Verse 11 وَإِذَا السَّمَاءُ كُشِطَتْ "And when the sky is stripped away." ALLAH Azzawajal continues describing the extraordinary events of the Day of Judgment. The word "كُشِطَتْ (kushiṭat)" means to peel off, remove, uncover, or strip away, like removing the skin from an animal or rolling up a covering. The sky that appears vast, beautiful, and firmly established above us today will be removed by ALLAH Azzawajal. The familiar order of creation will come to an end, and the hidden realities of the Hereafter will become visible.  FAJR REMINDER: THE PRINCIPLE OF GRADUALISM By: Umm Affān Muḥarram 5, 1448 (20-June-2026) There are two migrations (Hijratayn) in Islām. The first took place when some of the companions (the early Muslims) migrated to Habasha (Abyssinia, present-day Ethiopia). The second occurred later when Prophet Muḥammad (ﷺ), along with his companions, migrated from Makkah to Madīnah. By the Will of Allāh, this morning I wish to reflect on the second Hijrah and the invaluable lessons it offers the Muslims. These lessons are meant to strengthen our knowledge, increase our faith, and help us become better servants of Allāh. The primary purpose of the Prophet's Hijrah was to preserve Islām and provide an environment where it could flourish and spread. The Prophet (ﷺ) and the early Muslims were prevented from practicing Islām freely in Makkah. As a result, migration became necessary to protect the religion and ensure its survival. Commentary: After describing the dramatic changes in the universe and the gathering of creation from verses 1-9, ALLAH Azzawajal now turns our attention to individual accountability. The word "Aṣ-Ṣuḥuf" refers to the records in which the Angels have written every deed of every person throughout their lives. Nothing is omitted, not even the smallest action, word, intention, or glance.  On the Day of Judgment, these records will be opened and displayed before their owners.
